The Apple M4 chip’s AI performance just leaked – and it might not be what you expected

[ad_1]

When Apple unveiled the new M4 iPad Pro at its May 7 ‘Let Loose’ event, the company talked up the M4 chip’s artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, saying it was more powerful than any neural processing unit (NPU) in any AI PC today. Well, the M4’s performance has apparently just leaked in a fresh set of Geekbench benchmarks, and the results are fascinating from an AI perspective.

Compared to the previous-generation M2 iPad Pro, the latest model shows a modest improvement in performance. In Geekbench’s ML 0.6.0 test – which measures machine learning capability – the new iPad Pro scored 9,234. That’s roughly 23% higher than the M2 iPad Pro’s score of 7,511.

Discover if your data have been leaked with Proton Mail’s new tool

[ad_1]

Proton Mail has just unveiled a new Dark Web Monitoring feature in a bid to bolster its security capabilities against widespread data breaches.

Incidents of data leaks are reportedly on the rise, as billions of people’s credentials are exposed. The longer this sensitive information remains on the web, the easier is for cybercriminals to exploit it to their advantage. This new tool from Proton seeks to challenge this. By identifying and alerting you as soon as your credentials appear in a breach, you will be able to take action before bad actors get to them.

The new Sonos app just leaked – and it might just fix the S2 app’s many problems

[ad_1]

Audio brand Sonos may soon completely redesign its S2 app by making it easier to set up its devices as well as “strengthen connectivity between its many speakers.” It’ll also introduce several new customization options. This nugget of information comes from TheVerge which claims to have received screenshots of the revamp from sources close to the matter.

According to the report, the company is removing all the navigation tabs at the bottom, replacing tabs with a search bar to help soundbar owners find music quickly. The home screen will serve as a central hub consisting of “scrollable carousels” housing playlists and direct access to streaming services.
