The Arc browser, a web browser originally designed for macOS and iOS, has finally made its way to Windows 11 after leaving closed beta testing. After testing it out, I’m finding myself enjoying it much better than Google Chrome and especially Microsoft Edge — despite them both being Chromium-based. In fact, in due time it could easily be one of the best browsers around.
I found that it’s incredibly speedy and responsive while using far less memory than Chrome, and that’s with both browsers having the same amount of tabs open. As most Chrome users are aware, memory drain is one of Chrome’s major drawbacks, so a Chromium browser that hogs up far less of it while still running efficiently is a huge deal.
Intel has launched a new AI processor series for the edge, promising industrial-class deep learning inference. The new ‘Amston Lake’ Atom x7000RE chips offer up to double the cores and twice the higher graphics base frequency as the previous x6000RE series, all neatly packed within a 6W–12W BGA package.
The x7000RE series packs more performance into a smaller footprint. Boasting up to eight E-cores it supports LPDDR5/DDR5/DDR4 memory and up to nine PCIe 3.0 lanes, delivering robust multitasking capabilities.
The Galaxy C55 has been quietly introduced in China, but its pricing hasn’t been revealed yet. It has a stitched leather back design and is sold in Colorful Orange and Fashion Back colors. It has thin bezels and a slim form factor. This is a good phone for someone who wants a unique-looking phone and has Samsung’s feature-packed One UI software.
The rest of the phone’s hardware specifications remain similar to those of the Galaxy M55. It has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits of peak brightness, HDR10+, and Vision Booster. It also has an under-display optical fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos audio support.
It has a 50MP selfie camera on the front. In its rear-facing triple camera setup, you will find a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Both 50MP cameras on the phone can record 4K 30fps videos with electronic stabilization. With dual-recording, users can simultaneously record Full HD 1080p videos using front and rear cameras.
It is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It has GPS, 5G, a dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It runs Android 14 and will get four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates.

Samsung is slowly expanding its PC lineup. After launching its first desktop PC in years last year, the company has launched its new all-in-one PC in South Korea. Named All-In-One Pro, the iMac-like desktop PC is now available for pre-order. It will be readily available in South Korea starting on April 22.
The All-In-One Pro is priced at 1.99 million ($1,469) in South Korea. It isn’t clear if it would be launched outside of South Korea.

The All-In-One Pro has a metal frame with an ultra-slim design (6.5mm). Samsung says its ultra-slim form factor gives users more free space on their table. Even the wireless keyboard and mouse bundled with the All-In-One Pro have metal materials and offer a unified design. It has a 27-inch 4K screen, which is 13% wider than last year’s All-In-One Pro model. It is also equipped with 3D loudspeakers compatible with Dolby Atmos audio.
It has the Intel Core Ultra processor (exact model number unknown as of now), which offers higher CPU and GPU performance than the 13th Gen Intel Core i5 chip used in last year’s All-In-One PC. It likely comes with at least 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD storage. It isn’t clear if its RAM and SSD can be upgraded. The full-sized keyboard has a dedicated Microsoft Copilot AI key, while the mouse has a minimalistic design.
It has an HDMI port, a couple of USB Type-A ports, an Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone port. Wireless connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E. It also has a built-in webcam for video calls and conferences. It comes with Windows 11 Home and several Galaxy Ecosystem apps and features, including Buds Auto Switch, Multi Control, Quick Share, and Second Screen. You can drag and drop files from your Galaxy phone or tablet to the All-In-One Pro and vice versa.
Thanks to the Windows Phone Link app, you can see your Galaxy phone’s notifications on the PC and even reply to notifications. You can mirror the phone’s screen on the PC as well. You can also use your Galaxy phone’s camera as your All-In-One Pro’s webcam for even better image quality.

Samsung has added SmartThings connectivity to most of its new home appliances launched this year. Samsung DX CEI JK Han said that the new appliances can do a lot more than just the basic tasks. The refrigerator, induction range, and laundry machines have large touchscreen displays for improved connectivity and smart home integration. Samsung also showcased the new 3D Map View functionality in the SmartThings app. It offers enhanced usability and a bird’s eye view of all smart home devices in the home.
The 4-Door Flex AI Family Hub+ Refrigerator has a giant 32-inch touchscreen and an internal camera. You can view what’s inside the refrigerator without opening its doors. The refrigerator keeps track of groceries inside, tracks their expiry date, offers recipe suggestions via Samsung Food, and reminds you to refill your groceries. It can even send recipe instructions to Samsung’s new induction range or microwave oven. It can also be used to stream videos, listen to music, and control smart home devices.
The Bespoke Infinite Induction Line has a 7-inch touchscreen that can display recipes, notifications from your home, and videos. The Bespoke Slide-in Range with AI Home has a built-in microwave with an internal camera that shows your cooking progress. You can watch the cooking progress video on your Samsung TV while watching movies.
The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo has a dryer and washer in the same device. It also features a 7-inch touchscreen that lets you easily select washing programs, adjust various factors according to the washing load, and send instructions to your phone, refrigerator, or TV when the washing and drying tasks are finished. You can even watch the live video feed from the security camera or a connected smart doorbell camera.
The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo is a robot vacuum cleaner with a built-in mop. It uses the camera, sensors, and AI to intelligently recognize nearby objects, map the whole home in 3D, and adjust cleaning metrics and performance as per the flooring and dirt. It can automatically empty dirty water and get refilled with clean water from its charging station (Clean Station Steam+). It sprays high-temperature steam on the mop to dry it and clean 99.99% of harmful bacteria.
Samsung’s Mobile Smart Connect pushes an alert to the phone when it is close to a registered home appliance. The phone gets a pop-up notification with frequently used quick controls, reducing the need for a remote controller. The Calm Onboarding feature reduces the hassle of registering a product and connecting to it. Products purchased via a Samsung account are automatically registered and added to the SmartThings app.

Earlier this year, Samsung announced its first one-of-a-kind wireless speaker called the Music Frame at CES 2024. It can be used as a standalone wireless speaker or paired with a Samsung TV or a combination of a Samsung TV and a Samsung soundbar. After launching it in the US, Samsung has launched it in South Korea.

It can also be paired with another Music Frame, so you can have two Music Frame speakers connected to your Samsung TV.
It also features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Alexa Connect, and Spotify Connect, so you can play music wirelessly in a variety of ways. It also features Alexa and Google Assistant for voice commands. It also acts as a SmartThings Hub, which means it can act as a hub for all your smart home devices. The Galaxy M55 is priced at BRL 2,699.10 ($542) in Brazil and is available for pre-order from Samsung’s website. It has two color options: Dark Blue and Light Green. It could be launched in India and other nearby countries within the next few days.
