Monstera leaves and other tropical foliage, white orchids, and disco balls set the stage for their black, gold, and green “Tropical Winter Disco” at their Feb. 19 wedding at the InterContinental Washington, DC – The Wharf. Unsurprisingly, music was a priority, so Maddy and Jason worked with their DJ to put together ceremony and cocktail hour playlists that were special to the couple and their guests. An album for photos and congratulations was placed next to the photo zone, against which there were green leaves and a fern. The dance floor in the InterContinental hall was filled all night, they say, instead of a cake, they chose a dessert bar and poured a tower of champagne. For the after party, friends and family walked a few steps to the Moon Rabbit Restaurant, also located within the hotel. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon at the Andaz Mayakoba resort on Mexico’s Riviera Maya.
