Rare discount! Unmissable Saatva mattress sale knocks a massive $500 off

[ad_1]

It’s been a while since we saw it last, but Saatva has finally brought back it’s ultra-rare $500 off any order over $1,000 discount. Popping up just a couple of times a year, it’s impossible to predict when this Saatva mattress sale will start, so who knows when it will be back again – shop now to avoid missing out. It’s a semi-exclusive for TechRadar, so make sure to follow one of the links on this page, or you won’t see it.

Always a dominating force in our best mattress guide, Saatva is one of our favorite sleep brands. It’s a premium brand, so you can expect a higher price tag, but you can also expect a quality finish, a luxury feel, and some of the best extras around (including 365 nights to try the bed out, and free white glove delivery). We’re particularly big fans of the Saatva Classic, which delivers an exceptionally strong performance all-round. Check out our Saatva Classic mattress review to learn more.

I’ve singled out the Saatva Classic because it has such a wide appeal, but if it’s not exactly what you’re after, there are mattresses to suit almost every sleep style in the Saatva sale. Just follow the links on this page and head to your favorite mattress to claim your discount.

Buy it if…

You want a premium finish: The Saatva Classic is an expensive mattress, but it justifies that cost with an exceptional build, quality materials, and a luxurious finish. It’s like sleeping on the best hotel mattress, but you get to do it every single night, and thanks to the free white glove delivery, someone will even set up the bed for you – it’s just a shame Saatva can’t throw in room service.

You want to customize your choice: One of the reasons behind the wide-ranging Classic appeal it the amount of options you have. There are three firmness levels available: Plush for side sleepers, Luxury Firm has an all-round support, while Firm is aimed at back and stomach sleepers. And you get to choose your height – upgrade from 11.5 inches to 14.5 inches for ultimate luxury.

You want quality extras: Okay, this is a benefit of all Saatva adult mattresses, but it’s worth covering here. As well as the previously mentioned white glove delivery (which means Saatva will set-up the bed to the room of your choice), you’ll get a 365-night mattress trial and a lifetime warranty.

Don’t buy it if…

You want contouring foam: While technically a hybrid, the Saatva Classic feels closer to an innerspring, thanks to prominent layer of coils. If you want the contouring hug of foam, consider the Loom & Leaf. In our Saatva Loom & Leaf mattress review we found this plush bed has incredible pressure relief, and there’s $500 off every size and firmness level.

You have back or joint pain: For the record, the Classic is also good for those with aches and pains, but if a lumbar-friendly design is top priority, we recommend the Saatva RX. Described as “total opulence” in our Saatva RX mattress review, this bed has a balance of support and relief that’s ideal for anyone who wakes up stiff. All sizes are $500 off with our link.

You prioritize edge support: Our reviewer described the Saatva Memory Foam Hybrid mattress as “the best mattress for edge support [they’ve] ever tested.” Learn why with our Saatva Memory Foam Hybrid mattress review. It’s also a slightly more affordable option – the queen size is down to $1,295 with our discount code.

The Chevy Blazer EV is back on sale with functioning software and a big price drop

[ad_1]

Chevrolet is resuming sales of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV following reports of major software issues, . The company says the malfunctions have been patched, thanks to “significant software updates.” To entice wary consumers back into the fold, Chevy has slashed prices on the vehicle. The sticker price has been reduced by $5,600 to $6,500, depending on the trim.

Here’s how that breaks down. The Blazer EV LT AWD now starts at $50,195, instead of $56,715. The RS AWD now sells for $54,595, down from the original MSRP of $60,215. Finally, the RS RWD goes for $56,170, down from $61,790. These prices all include destination charges.

Also, the 2024 Blazer EV line is eligible for that $7,500 federal tax credit. This lowers the price of the LT AWD to just $42,695 and can now be applied , so buyers don’t have to wait for a rebate check. If that’s still too rich for your blood, the Blazer LT FWD EV is still slated for release later this year. Chevrolet says it’ll start “under $50,000”, though exact pricing has yet to be revealed. If Chevy follows through with that pricing promise and it qualifies for the full tax credit, we could be looking at a real budget-friendly contender in the EV space.

However, the EV Blazer line has experienced months of bad press following last year’s software malfunctions, drive motor control failures to glitchy and blank infotainment screens. Who knows if the price cuts will be enough for people to forget that embarrassment. GM has said that it’ll be instituting these software fixes to other EVs under its umbrella, . Chevrolet’s parent company also owns Cadillac, GMC and Buick.

One thing is for sure. Despite proclamations that the there’s still a whole lot of curious consumers out there. Manufacturer Rivian by announcing a trio of new vehicles this week, racking up over 68,000 preorders in under a day.

Smartphone and Tablet Deals

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series

Photograph: Julian Chokkattu

This is the first and best price drop we’ve seen for these brand-new phones so far. The flagship Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup (8/10, WIRED Recommends) was just released in January. The phones have great performance, day-long (if not more) battery life, and stunning displays. There are fun, smart software features, and while we think the design is a bit uninspired, the phones are available in neat colors. This basic model will serve most people just fine. Make sure to protect your new purchase with one of these great S24 cases.

If you prefer more real estate, the Galaxy S24+ has a larger 6.7-inch display compared to the baseline S24 model’s 6.2-inch screen. It also has a bigger battery, more RAM, and a higher starting storage capacity than its smaller sibling. Read more about their differences and similarities in our buying guide. We’ve also tested many Galaxy S24 cases—these are our favorites.

We still think the S24 Ultra is quite overpriced, but if you’re determined to snag it, this deal is the best we have tracked. It’s the biggest phone in the lineup and is made of titanium rather than aluminum. It also has a built-in S Pen stylus and more versatile cameras compared to the S24 or S24+. But if you don’t reach for a stylus very often, you’ll probably be fine with a different, less expensive model. Our buying guide has plenty of detailed advice. Don’t forget a phone case!

Galaxy Z Fold5

Photograph: Samsung

This deal is a match of one we saw last fall. The phone was cheaper at Amazon earlier in the week, but it is still slightly discounted there. The Z Fold5 (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is a sleek smartphone that opens up like a book. The displays are bright and immersive, the cameras are great, and it has one of the best update policies you can get on an Android. Once your new purchase arrives, be sure to check our Best Apps for Folding Phones guide.

Last fall, we saw the Galaxy Tab 9 drop down to this same price. Even outside of Amazon’s lower cost, the $800 deal at other retailers is still decent. We think the Galaxy Tab S9 Series (7/10, WIRED Review) offers some of the best Android tablets around, but they’re usually too expensive. The hardware is excellent, from the screens to the included S Pen stylus, and Samsung’s security updates and Android OS upgrades will keep the gadget up-to-date for years.

Galaxy Tab S9 series

Photograph: Samsung

The S9+ is a solid middle-of-the-road option for anyone who wants to use a tablet for both work and play. The 12.4-inch AMOLED screen has enough real estate for most tasks, and this model of the S9 series comes with 12 gigabytes of RAM compared to the basic S9’s 8 gigs.

Smartwatch and Headphone Deals

Photograph: Julian Chokkattu

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) are some of the best headphones for Samsung users. They’re comfortable and have active noise canceling, plus five hours of battery life per charge. The IPX2 water resistance means you can wear them during workouts. And the colors are cute!

This price is even better than what we saw on Cyber Monday in 2023. We reviewed the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (7/10, WIRED Recommends), which has a mechanical rotating bezel you can use to interact with the operating system; the standard Watch 6 doesn’t have the bezel feature. Still, this Wear OS 4 smartwatch matches the Apple Watch in its health and fitness features, plus it’s round! It only works with Android phones, and the electrocardiogram and irregular heart rate notifications only work when the watch is paired with a Samsung phone. Read more about it in our Best Smartwatches guide.

Gaming, Laptop, and TV Deals

Samsung The Frame TV

Photograph: Walmart

We’ve seen this TV drop down to $998 during Prime Day before. Sometimes TVs can be a bit of an eyesore, but The Frame from Samsung looks like a piece of art when not in use. It’ll flip through hundreds of paintings and photographs, and the transparent cable is unobtrusive too. Our list of the best TVs has additional recommendations.

The QN800C (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is a fantastic 8K TV overall, notwithstanding its eye-popping price tag. There’s still not a ton of content available for 8K TVs, outside of YouTube videos. But if you wanna be future-proof and you’ve got cash to burn, this might be a purchase worth making.

This price matches what we saw during Cyber Monday last year. This little projector offers up to 100 inches of screen real estate, and it also features a built-in smart interface and gaming hub. It’s compatible with specific USB-C power banks for extra portability.

Chromebooks aren’t the most powerful machines, but they’re fine for things like doing homework or web browsing. And it’s important to underline that this price is fantastic compared to the usual cost. The Galaxy Chromebook 2 (7/10, WIRED Review) has great battery life, a fantastic screen, and a fun red shell. The 2-in-1 design lets you convert the laptop into a tablet. Our list of the Best Chromebooks has additional recommendations.

This memory card falls to $25 on a semiregular basis, but we’ve not seen it drop any lower. It’ll add plenty of storage to your Nintendo Switch, smartphone, or tablet. Samsung storage cards are fast, sturdy, and reliable. This one is backed by a 10-year warranty.

Joe Biden says he would sign bill that would force a sale or ban of TikTok

[ad_1]

TikTok’s future is looking increasingly uncertain as support grows for a new bill that would force the company to sell itself or face a ban in the United States. Now, President Joe Biden has come out in support of the measure, one day after it cleared its first legislative hurdle in the House.

“If they pass it, I’ll sign it,” he said, in remarks CBS News. The bill, called the “Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act,” which was introduced earlier this week, would give TikTok a six-month window to divest itself from parent company ByteDance or face an app store-level ban in the US. Meanwhile, Republicans in the House of Representatives could bring the bill to a floor vote as early as Wednesday, Semafor .

TikTok has said the bill is a thinly-veiled effort to force a “total ban” of its app. “This legislation has a predetermined outcome: a total ban of TikTok in the United States,” the company said in a statement earlier this week. “The government is attempting to strip 170 million Americans of their Constitutional right to free expression. This will damage millions of businesses, deny artists an audience, and destroy the livelihoods of countless creators across the country.”

The company has also encouraged its millions of users to oppose the measure. On Thursday, ahead of the committee vote on the bill, the app sent push notifications prompting users to call their representatives and ask them to oppose the legislation. The notifications reportedly led to of calls in many Congressional offices as staffers fielded hundreds of calls from teens.

Notably, the bill has another prominent opponent: former President Donald Trump. Though Trump also sought to force of TikTok to a US company during his time in office, the former president said he no longer believes the app should be banned. “If you get rid of TikTok, Facebook and Zuckerschmuck will double their business,” he wrote in a post on Truth Social.

Though clearing the House would be significant milestone for the bill, it’s unclear where the Senate stands on it. As Semafor points out, some prominent senators have been a bit more cautious in their comments about whether they would support the legislation. At a recent Senate hearing about child safety, several senators TikTok CEO Shou Chew on his own citizenship (he’s Singaporean) as well as the app’s ties to China and the practices of its parent company ByteDance.

How to Ensure Your Home is Ready for Sale

There is a lot to consider when you feel it’s time to sell your home—from finding a new place to live if you have not already done so to dealing with inspections and agents, there’s a lot of stress. This article will hopefully relieve some of that stress by reminding you of some important tasks that need to be done.

We’ll cover everything you need to keep in mind, from what to watch for before the inspection, to finding the problem yourself to deep cleaning and decluttering. If the problems seem too large to take care of on your own, you may need to hire a repair company to help, such as a restoration company Denver, Colorado.

While it may be expensive, so is owning a home that can’t be sold due to damage. Before we get too ahead of ourselves, though, let’s start by discussing common home repairs required before listing.

Watch for These Common Problems

Before your home can be listed, it must be inspected by a professional to make sure that there are no serious repairs that must be done. Before this inspection is conducted, you can do a little one of your own. You can look at some of the most common inspection findings to discover what areas of your home probably deserve extra scrutiny.

For example, the most common finding and the most expensive repairs involve the roof. During a sunny day, you could climb up and carefully inspect the roof for obvious signs of damage, such as missing shingles. When it rains, you could pay attention to see if you hear any potential leaks.

If you have one, you could even climb up into the attic and see if anything looks off from that angle. Once you’ve discovered a problem, you can decide if you can fix it yourself or need to call a professional and get the ball rolling on that.

Inspecting your home must be one of the first things you do, as repairs can be costly in both time and money. By getting the ball rolling early, you can adequately set aside money to pay for it and hopefully have all repairs completed long before you’re ready for an inspection.

While you may miss some things and still have to fix an issue or two found by the professional before you can list, at least you took care of some of them beforehand.

Make Decluttering Quick and Simple

Once you’ve got the ball rolling by setting up repair appointments, you can jump into cleaning and packing. We’ve decided to list decluttering before deep cleaning since there will be less to clean if there is less in your home, though you could do them in whichever order works best for you.

Decluttering can be a tedious and exhausting process, with some rooms even being emotionally difficult based on what you’re sorting through, but there are ways to simplify decluttering. One big thing to do isn’t to think about decluttering your entire home all at once. Instead, decide which room you’d like to do and which area of the room you’ll start with.

Once this has been decided, you’ll need to find a way to sort various items—and you can do this with piles or containers like tubs or bags, so long as it’s easily accessible and you can tell the locations apart. You’ll then need to sort through and decide which items to keep, which need to be repaired or relocated, and which need to be donated or tossed.

Some easy places to start may be the pantry or medicine cabinet, as you’ll be able to tell which items you do and don’t need or want easily, which is also aided by the expiration labels.

Clean Everything

Once the repairs are complete and the decluttering is done, it’s finally time to start deep cleaning. Remember, you’re not cleaning to make the house better for you to live in; you’re trying to entice someone else to move in. As a result, some of the areas you either commonly miss or don’t clean very often need to be tackled.

For example, while you frequently vacuum your floors, when was the last time you took the extension and ran it up along the doorway or in the corners of your rooms? Doing this can catch any cobwebs and other unwanted debris that you may otherwise miss that might be noticed by potential buyers.

You’ll also want to take down and clean any light fixtures, such as ceiling light covers or bathroom fan/light combinations. As you do this, you’ll also want to replace any light bulbs that have burnt out.

Similar to decluttering, you may want to take this room by room instead of considering the entire house at once. For example, maybe you could start with any upstairs rooms or bedrooms before tackling the spots that need your entire focus, like the bathroom. Doing this will make your deep cleaning days go by quicker and with less stress.

Consider Other Vital Tasks

These aren’t the only things to consider when you decide to sell your home. There is a list of other duties you’ll need to attend to. Some of these duties include researching the housing price in your area, having your home inspected, contacting a listing agent, and more.

Some are small, like ensuring there are more light bulbs present in case a light goes out during an open house viewing, while others can be a huge undertaking. An example of this would be repainting the walls to be more neutral and less personal.

While the color may have worked for you, it may deter potential buyers from considering your property when browsing the market. Ensuring all of these tasks are complete can be time-consuming and tedious, but it’s necessary for you to get what your house is worth.

Getting your house ready to sell can be a racing effort not only physically, but mentally as well. After all, you used to live in this place; it was your comfort spot, a safe space to block out the rest of the world and just unwind, but now it’s time to close this chapter and move on to greener pastures.

Fast-Track Your Home Sale in Raleigh – 4 Simple Steps

Time is often of the essence when you’re looking to sell your home. Perhaps you’ve got a new job in another city or there’s another compelling reason to sell quickly. Either way, Raleigh’s fast-growing housing market offers a promising landscape for sellers. While selling a home typically involves several months from listing to closing, these four steps can put you on the fast track to selling your home in Raleigh, to close within 30 days or less.

Step 1: Understand the Market Dynamics

Market Research is Not Optional

In the age of information, there’s no excuse for going into the market blindfolded. Platforms like Zillow, Trulia, and local real estate agency websites provide data on recent sales, price trends, and average time on the market. Such information will help you assess your competition and set a realistic price for your home.

Real-Time Data Speaks Volumes

When you’re racing against the clock, you can’t afford to rely on outdated information. The Raleigh housing market is bustling, with median listing prices rising by 9.2% over the last year. So, make sure the data you’re using is updated in real time to get an edge over competitors.

The Importance of Real Estate Agents

While doing it alone is an option, hiring a seasoned real estate agent can be a game-changer. These professionals know the ins and outs of the market and can offer strategic advice. If you’re keen on a more direct sale without the waiting period, you could consider companies specializing in quick home sales. For Raleigh homeowners, cash home buyers in Raleigh offer an expedited process to close deals in a matter of weeks.

Step 2: Stage and Photograph Your Home Like a Pro

Home Staging is Crucial

According to a study by the Real Estate Staging Association, homes that are professionally staged sell 73% faster on average than non-staged homes. The key areas to focus on include:

  • Living Room
  • Master Bedroom
  • Kitchen
  • Outdoor Space

Get Creative With Virtual Staging

Physical staging can be costly and time-consuming, but virtual staging software can offer a quicker alternative without sacrificing quality.

Don’t Skimp on Photography

Potential buyers form their first impression based on the listing photos. It’s a good idea to hire a professional photographer who specializes in real estate photography to highlight the best features of your home.

Step 3: Use the Power of Digital Marketing

Digital Marketing Channels

In today’s digital age, visibility is everything. The more people see your listing, the higher the chances of selling your home quickly. Here are some platforms you can consider:

  • MLS (Multiple Listing Service)
  • Real Estate Websites
  • Social Media
  • Email Campaigns

Key Metrics to Monitor

  • Click-Through Rate (CTR)
  • Conversion Rate
  • ROI on Ad Spend

Tap into Local Community

Don’t underestimate the power of community when it comes to selling your home. Word-of-mouth can still be extremely effective. Let your neighbors know that you’re selling; you never know, they may know someone who’s looking to move into the area.

Step 4: Manage the Paperwork Efficiently

Get Pre-Approved for Your Next Home

Getting pre-approved for a mortgage on your next home can speed up the sales process because it shows potential buyers that you are a serious seller, which can make your offer more attractive in a competitive market.

Keep All Necessary Documents Handy

Missing or incorrect paperwork is one of the leading causes of delays in real estate transactions. Before listing your home, make sure you have all the necessary documents, such as:

  • Property Deeds
  • Recent Tax Assessments
  • Home Inspection Reports
  • Documentation of Repairs and Maintenance

Consult a Legal Advisor

Having a legal advisor review all the contracts and agreements before finalizing the sale can save you from lengthy delays that could arise from legal complications down the road.

Key Takeaways: Speed Is Possible, but Preparation Is Key

When it comes to fast-tracking your home sale in Raleigh, preparation and strategy are key. Understanding the market conditions will help you set a competitive price. Professional staging and photography can significantly enhance your home’s appeal. Utilizing digital marketing can maximize visibility, and efficiently managing paperwork can keep the sale process on schedule.

Whether you’re a first-time seller or a seasoned homeowner, implementing these steps can drastically cut down the time your property spends on the market. Time is money in real estate; use it wisely and get ready to make your fast and profitable sale a reality.

How to Close a Home Sale in Record Time

Hey there, future home sellers and real estate enthusiasts! If you’ve ever wondered how to turn the often lengthy and complex process of closing a home sale into a swift and efficient transaction, you’ve come to the right place.

In this guide, we’ll spill the beans on the tips, tricks, and strategies to help you close a home sale in record time. Whether you’re a first-time seller or a seasoned pro looking to streamline the process, we’ve got you covered.

1. Price It Right from the Start

One of the key factors in speeding up the home selling process is pricing your property correctly from the beginning. Overpricing your home can leave it lingering on the market for months while underpricing can result in financial losses. To find that sweet spot, consider hiring a professional appraiser or real estate agent who can provide an accurate market analysis.

2. Enhance Your Home’s Curb Appeal

First impressions matter when it comes to real estate. Boosting your home’s curb appeal can attract potential buyers and lead to faster sales. Simple fixes like landscaping, fresh paint, and decluttering can make a significant difference. Remember, a well-maintained exterior can set a positive tone for the entire viewing experience.

3. Stage Your Home for Success

Staging your home is another effective way to accelerate the sales process. A well-staged home can help potential buyers visualize themselves living in the space. Consider neutral color schemes, depersonalizing, and arranging furniture to highlight your home’s best features. Professional home stagers can be a valuable investment in this regard.

4. High-Quality Listing Photos and Descriptions

In today’s digital age, buyers often begin their property search online. High-quality photos and detailed descriptions of your home can attract more potential buyers, increasing the chances of a quicker sale. Consider hiring a professional photographer to capture your home’s best angles.

5. Be Flexible with Showings

It’s essential to be flexible with showing times to accommodate potential buyers’ schedules. Limiting viewing availability can lead to missed opportunities. Consider using an online scheduling tool to make the process smoother for you and potential buyers.

6. Pre-Inspection and Repairs

A pre-inspection of your home can uncover potential issues that may arise during the buyer’s inspection. Addressing these problems upfront can prevent delays in the closing process and increase your home’s appeal to buyers.

7. Choose the Right Real Estate Agent

Selecting an experienced and knowledgeable real estate agent can significantly impact the speed of your home sale. They can provide valuable insights, market your property effectively, and guide you through the entire process, from listing to closing.

8. Consider Alternative Selling Options

For those looking to sell their homes even faster, alternative options like selling to a cash home buyer company can be a game-changer. These companies, such as Matthew Buys Home, specialize in buying homes quickly and hassle-free, often in as little as a few days.
