Forget the all-new iPad Air 6: Amazon just slashed the iPad Air 5 to a record-low price

[ad_1]

Apple just launched the iPad Air 6 earlier this week, which means there are some fantastic deals on older model iPads, like the iPad Air 5. For a limited time, Amazon has the 5th generation Apple iPad Air on sale for a record-low price of $599 at Amazon (was $749).

The Apple iPad Air 5, which we reviewed when it was first released in 2022, flaunts similar visuals as its predecessor with P3 wide color, True Tone, and anti-reflective coating. The $599 deal applies to the 256 GB version of the iPad Air 5, which is $100 less than the new iPad Air for the same storage. These prices don’t include accessories like an Apple Pencil or Magic Keyboard, which are sold separately.

Today’s best Apple iPad Air 5 deal

The Apple iPad Air 5 features a 10.9-inch liquid retina display with technologies that enhance the image quality, like the aforementioned P3 wide color. It also features a 12MP Wide camera, the same kind as the iPhone 12, which is capable of capturing sharp, detailed photos. It may not feature the M2 chip like the latest model, but the still-powerful M1 chip should be more than enough to handle the latest apps and mobile games. In line with Apple’s aesthetic offerings, the iPad Air 5 comes in various colors, from the standard Space Grey to a rosy Pink.

Note that the $599 deal doesn’t include AppleCare+, which insures you for a limited number of repairs and technical support for two years after your purchase. It also extends to accessories for your iPad, like an Apple-branded pencil or keyboard. The Apple Care+ package adds about $80 to the bill, something optional but worth considering if you’re an accident-prone device owner.

Ember’s Travel Mug 2+ with Find My support drops to a record-low price

[ad_1]

Ember’s highly-esteemed Travel Mug 2+ has of $128, which is a discount of $72. The actual sale price is $160, but there’s a clippable coupon for the remaining $32. This is a pretty great deal for those in the market for a tech-heavy travel mug.

Ember

Make sure to clip the coupon for that extra 20 percent.

$128 at Amazon

To that end, the Travel Mug 2+ , so you’ll always know exactly where your beverage is. It even has a built-in speaker that’ll ping when you’re looking for it. Anything can happen while traveling, so it’s good to have a little peace of mind, particularly because the usual price of this mug is $200.

Otherwise, this is a fantastic mug that keeps beverages hot for up to three hours and boasts a 12-ounce capacity. The battery’s on point, allowing for three hours of use on its own and a full day while resting on the included charging coaster. You also get access to the Ember’s proprietary app for setting the temperature, customizing presets and more. The mug does feature a little touchscreen for this, so the app’s not always necessary.

Ember makes great products, which is why we often . However, the Travel Mug 2+ isn’t perfect. You can hand wash it, but don’t put it in the dishwasher, unless you want to turn it into an expensive mug-shaped thing that doesn’t actually work. There’s also the price. At $200, it’s very hard to recommend this product because, well, it’s a mug for drinking tea and coffee. It’s easier to recommend at $128, and it makes a great gift, but at the end of the day it’s still just a container for liquids.

Apple’s 2023 iMac drops to a record-low price

[ad_1]

It’s been a busy day of Apple news , but the company has plenty of other M-series devices, including the iMac. Apple slotted M3 chips into its desktop computers , and now the base version of the 2023 iMac is cheaper than ever. Thanks to a coupon at Amazon (make sure to clip it!), you can snap up an iMac with an M3 chip, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage for. The deal is available for the silver, pink, green and blue versions of the system.

Apple

Apple’s 2023 iMac with an M3 chip has dropped to its lowest price to date.

$1,149 at Amazon

A word of warning: while this is a decent deal on the surface, we do feel that the specs of the base 2023 iMac aren’t quite up to scratch. It’s difficult in this day and age to earnestly recommend a computer with just 8GB of RAM as apps become more and more demanding. That’s why the iMac didn’t score higher than 86 .

On the plus side, the M3 chipset is very fast and the iMac’s display remains terrific. Although this is a desktop system, it’s lightweight, so it’s not too difficult to move from one room to another or prop it up on something — the inability to adjust the screen vertically is a little disappointing.

There are some caveats to keep in mind here, but if you’re looking for a nice, pretty new computer for relatively basic tasks (you’re not going to be doing much gaming or video editing on a system with these specs) and don’t mind splashing some cash, then this iMac might do the trick for you.

Huge Bose sale at Amazon – record-low prices for top-rated headphones and earbuds

[ad_1]

Bose makes some of the best headphones and earbuds you can buy today. We’ve tested several models by the manufacturer here at TechRadar and highly recommend them, including the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones and Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. Well, good news, both of these and much more Bose audio tech is on sale right now at Amazon

Shop the full Bose sale at Amazon

The two best offers are record-low prices for the headphones and earbuds we’ve picked out above. The first is the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones for $379 (was $429) and the second is the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds for $249 (was $299). They’re still quite pricey, but these are two of the best pairs of premium Bose headphones or earbuds available today.

If you want to save even more money, you could also go for the standard Bose QuietComfort Headphones for $249 (was $349) instead. I’ve been using these for some time now and think they are one of the best purchasing decisions I’ve made. They offer fantastic audio quality, top-tier noise-cancellation and a lengthy battery life that means I can use them for days while working or commuting without needing a recharge.

If you’re after some new premium gear then these three Bose deals at Amazon are not to be missed.

Today’s best Bose deals at Amazon

In our very positive Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones review, we said they were simply the best at delivering top sound quality, noise cancellation, and comfort, only dropping marks when it came to battery life. As for our Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds review, we settled on four stars, praising the impressive immersive audio and industry-leading noise-canceling tech in the wireless buds.

So, whether you’re a fan of over-ear or prefer some discreet earbuds, these are two top options that you should strongly consider while they’re down to a record-low price.

Our favorite Sony wireless earbuds are on sale for a record-low price

[ad_1]

If you’ve been eyeing earbuds but were put off by the steep price tag, now would be the perfect time to pick up a set. The premium earbuds, normally $300, are down to a record low price of $230 on Amazon, for a savings of $70. This deal only applies to the earbuds in black. The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds were released in summer 2023 and brought major upgrades over the previous model. They boast the best noise cancellation and call quality of Sony’s earbuds lineup, and have built-in Alexa support.

Sony

The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds are our top pick for for this year. They’re more comfortable than the WF-1000XM4s, being 25 percent smaller and 20 percent lighter for a much better fit. The charging case, too, is more compact than its predecessor. In terms of sound quality, they further improve upon the already impressive capabilities of the 1000X line. The speakers are slightly larger than the previous model’s, and their Dynamic Driver X drivers make for rich, clear sound and bassier bass. Sony WF-1000XM5 scored an 87 in last year.

The earbuds offer Adaptive Sound Control, which will automatically adjust your noise cancellation settings to work best for the environment you’re in or activity you’re doing. You may want active noise cancellation on when you’re working from home, but switch to transparency mode when you’re going out for a run. You’ll need to enable location services for this feature using Sony’s Headphones Connect app.

The app allows for other types of customization as well, like changing the controls assigned to the touch sensors on the earbuds. Sony’s WF-1000XM5 earbuds also support multipoint Bluetooth connections, which means you can pair them with two devices at the same time. There’s a Speak-to-Chat mode that pauses audio when it senses you’ve started a conversation, and an equalizer in the app where you can adjust your sound settings.

Samsung Galaxy S24 phones are on sale for record-low prices at Amazon

[ad_1]

Samsung makes some of the best Android phones you can get right now and the latest models have dropped to all-time-low prices. If you’ve been waiting for a good deal on the high-end Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, you’re in luck — the handset with 256GB of storage is $150 off and down to $1,150. The Galaxy S24+ is also on sale for $850 right now.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has dropped to its lowest price to date of $1,150.

$1,150 at Amazon

We gave the Galaxy S24 Ultra a score of 89 in our review. We found it to be very expensive (this discount helps mitigate that!) and the design and lack of Qi 2 support were drawbacks. However, we appreciated the camera upgrades and felt the S24 Ultra delivered great performance and offered terrific battery life. It often had a 50 percent charge remaining after 24 hours of regular use, thanks to the large battery and power efficiency gains afforded by the new processor.

One other major thing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset powers is a host of on-device generative AI (GAI) features, the big selling point for the Galaxy lineup this year as Samsung tries to compete with Google Pixel devices on that front. An interpreter mode can translate languages during calls, while the Chat Assist tool can check the grammar, spelling and tone of your messages before sending them. There are also AI-powered options for image editing and search. While the AI tools more or less work as expected, we felt that they’re not quite as polished as Google’s versions. Nevertheless, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is our pick for the best premium Android phone.

The Galaxy S24+ also has a $150 discount right now. That too marks a record low for a version with 256GB of storage — the handset currently costs $850. Like its smaller sibling, the S24, the S24+ earned a score of 87 in our review. We appreciated the battery life and (for the most part) the GAI tools, though we felt that low-light photography performance was somewhat lacking. Those who prefer foldables may be more interested in the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Again, that’s $150 off at $850 for 256GB of storage. However, it’s $50 more than the lowest price we’ve seen for the handset thus far.

The Google Pixel 8 is $230 off and down to a new record-low price

[ad_1]

There’s good news for anyone looking to upgrade their phone as the Google Pixel 8 is currently down to a record-low price. Woot is running a 33 percent discount on the new Google Pixel 8 — one of our picks for 2024’s best smartphones — dropping its cost to $470 from $700. The sale is on for the next five days or until the smartphone sells out.

Google

The new Google Pixel 8 launched last October and scored a 90 in our review due to features like its Tensor G3 chip. Google claims the chip allows the Pixel 8 to support more text and natural voice recognition. Plus, the company boasts that the G3 chip has twice the number of machine learning models as the G1 in the Pixel 6. This strength is more important than ever with AI’s growth and the recent launch of Magic Editor, a content-aware fill and lasso hybrid.

Externally, the Google Pixel 8 looks a little different. The screen has shrunk a tad to 6.2 inches from 6.3 inches screen on the Pixel 7 — a small but noticeable change. Also visible on the smartphone are a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.
