The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is the best foldable phone Samsung’s ever made, at least until the Z Fold 6 comes along later this year. The Fold 5 might even be good enough to overcome the hinge issues experienced by older models. So far, it’s as solid as it can be.
Nevertheless, taking good care of your phone has never hurt anyone. Fortunately, if you want to pair your Galaxy Z Fold 5 with a new accessory, Samsung is giving you plenty of options in 2024.
Best Galaxy Z Fold 5 accessories you can buy from Samsung
Samsung’s official list of Galaxy Z Fold 5 cases presently consists of six models, but if you are wondering, neither has interchangeable NFC cards. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 started the Flipsuit Case trend, and the Galaxy S24 series later borrowed it, but for whatever reason, there is no Flipsuit Case for the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
The closest you can get to a Flipsuit Case design for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is through the Haydonna Popticle Case, which costs $39.99. However, it doesn’t have an NFC element and associated themes and wallpapers.
Other Galaxy Z Fold 5 cases include:
Galaxy Z Fold 5 Clear Gadget Case — $54.99. It works just like any other Gadget Case. It’s a clear case that has a ring attachment on the back, which can be used as a kickstand or be replaced with other attachments, from straps to secure grips.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 Eco-Leather Case — $79.99. Available in Graphite or Icy Blue, this is the most stylish case for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. It doesn’t have any elements that stand out but offers protection for your foldable device. It has a soft feel and is crafted with eco-conscious materials.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 Standing Case with Strap — $84.99. Another case with interchangeable accessories, the Standing Case with Strap lets you swap between a stand or a hand strap attachment. It’s available in two color options: Sand with a pink strap and Graphite with a green strap.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 Slim S-Pen Case — $99.99 — is without a doubt the perfect case for Z Flip 5 owners who want to use the S Pen with the foldable display. It’s the only case with an S Pen holder (S Pen included), and it is available in three colors: Sand (pink S Pen), Graphite (matching S Pen), and Icy Blue (neon green S Pen).
Last but not least, Samsung also offers the SHLDAir Case for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 for $59.99, although you might have difficulties finding it in stock. This case offers the best protection for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and has the best shock absorption characteristics. It even has a magnetic hinge cover for enhanced protection and a raised aluminum shield for the three rear-facing cameras.
The last two accessories worth mentioning are the front protection film (available for $19.99) and the S Pen Fold Edition ($54.99). The film should need no introduction, but the S Pen Fold Edition is an interesting accessory because it comes with a carrying pouch. Essentially, it’s an alternative to the S Pen Case for Galaxy Z Fold 5 users who want the S Pen without the case.
Once again, this S Pen works only with the foldable display. It’s dust and water-resistant with an IP68 rating. It is available only in one color option — black — so if you want a different color for your S Pen, your only other option is to buy the aforementioned S Pen Case.
PC gaming can get really expensive really quickly. A good gaming desktop can cost much more than you anticipated, and a gaming laptop could really take a bite out of your wallet. But the good thing is that peripherals like gaming headphones, keyboards, mice and more don’t have to break the bank. The best gaming accessories don’t always cost a fortune, and we can thank a growing industry in part for this. If you’re on the market for a few new PC gaming accessories to add to your setup, but don’t want to spend too much money to expand your kit, the options below are some of our favorites.
Gaming headsets
Turtle Beach
The Recon Spark has been one of my favorite headsets for years; in fact, it was my daily driver in the Engadget office. There are some good reasons for that: it offers solid audio both in its cups and mic, plus it’s comfortable, sturdy and cute. It might not be wireless, but you can just plug it into almost any desktop or laptop and not have to worry about driver compatibility or installing software or anything like that. It’s also a great option for kids.
While the Recon Spark might be my preferred work headset, the one I use at home is the wireless Logitech G733. It sounds great, has a phenomenal battery life and just the right amount of bling, with bright colored LED strips in the front and a customizable fabric headband. I use it for playing Dungeons & Dragons with my friends on Discord, as well as recording the occasional podcast. It’s been around for a few years, but that just means that you can get this headset for under $100 at some retailers. If it’s still too rich for your blood, check out the similar G435.
If you’re looking for crisp audio, SteelSeries has always offered excellent clarity and volume, and the Arctis line does so at a reasonable price point. The Nova 1 is a wired gaming headset where everything feels premium, thanks to its sturdy build (I’ve dropped it twice already), its smooth, matte finish and soft, comfortable ear cups. They can block out lower sounds, but not things like a TV or crying baby, making this headset ideal for new parents. The adjustable mic is built-in, so you don’t have to worry about losing it either.
Since video conferencing from home exploded during the pandemic, I’ve been extolling the virtues of using a headset for all of your business meetings. They block out unwanted noise, make your voice come through loud and clear, and they’re a good sign to others that you are on a call. The only problem is that gaming headsets don’t exactly look all that professional — but the Zone Vibe is a breath of fresh air. It offers all of Logitech’s expertise to deliver solid gaming audio in a stylish wireless package you won’t be embarrassed to wear in front of the boss.
When it comes to buying a keyboard, my first recommendation is always going to be “buy a Corsair.” Corsair keyboards offer an excellent typing experience and they’re super durable. Unfortunately, they’re not the best budget option because they are rather expensive, with the cheapest ones usually going for $120. Luckily Corsair introduced the K60 RGB Pro a few years back and I’d recommend the Low Profile version for those used to typing on laptop keyboards. No, it’s not the same as a membrane keyboard – it’s lightyears better, with mechanical keys and a durable build that will last you years (and hundreds, if not thousands, of game matches).
One of the new hot things in gaming seems to be 60 percent keyboards, which chop off the number pad to make more room on your desk for a mouse or other accessories. Being smaller also means they tend to be cheaper too, so budget-minded gamers should take a look at decks like the Alloy Origins 60. Besides being small and affordable, it’s also solid as a rock. The placement of the arrow keys in the lower right corner should be less confusing for those making the switch from a full-sized deck, too.
Mechanical keyboards are great, but even the quietest among them might be too noisy for some environments. The Apex TKL is great at being unobtrusive: it’s a 60 percent deck so it’s compact, and its keys offer great typing response while being whisper quiet. The Apex TKL is a little bigger than many other keyboards that eschew the number pad, but that’s for a good reason – you’ll appreciate the dedicated arrow keys and volume scroller, the latter of which is a must-have for anyone who consumes a lot of media on their device.
Going budget doesn’t mean you have to skimp on quality or looks, and the G305 is both a high-performance and stylish mouse. What’s also nice is how it keeps things simple, with six programmable buttons and a sleek profile. The battery life is rated for 250 hours, though I swear based on my personal use it’s much longer, and it only needs a single AAA battery so you can swap it out in seconds and get back to gaming. If you have a headset like the G435 you can get the G305 in lilac to match, or just stick with a basic black model. If you want to save even more money and don’t mind having a wired mouse, also check out the G203 Lightspeed, which we recommended in our best gaming mice buying guide.
Every gamer knows the pain of spilling something on their desk once or twice, whether it’s water, coffee or soda. The Aerox 3 might look like it’s headed for disaster thanks to all the holes in it. But it’s actually rated IP54, which means it can take a good splash and just keep on working (though maybe a bit sticky if you don’t wipe it down). The holes do more than just look cool, too – they make the mouse much lighter to handle (if that’s your thing), and they keep heat from building up in your palm.
If you’re looking for something a bit more traditional but still affordable and wireless, the Rival 3 might just be up your alley. It’s a basic black mouse with a sleek contour and five programmable buttons. It comes with a wireless receiver to ensure a strong connection, but also works over Bluetooth so you can easily switch it to a laptop or mobile device. This makes it great for the office as well as gaming, the ultimate money-saver.
OWC is hosting a big Mac accessory sale that includes a number of discounts on Thunderbolt docks, USB-C hubs, external drives and enclosures, internal memory upgrade kits for Mac, and more. Most products are in stock and ready to ship out today, and OWC offers free shipping on orders $149.00 and over.
Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with OWC. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.
Highlights of the sale include a collection of Thunderbolt docks for up to $130 off. These docks allow you to easily connect a wide array of peripherals to your Mac, including two 4K displays or one 5K display with the 14-Port Thunderbolt 3 Dock, which is available for $149.99. This isn’t quite as steep of a discount as we’ve previously seen on the accessory, but at $130 off it’s still a great second-best price for anyone who missed last week’s sale.
All of the devices listed below are in new condition at OWC, although the retailer does provide various item condition options for anyone who might want to save money by purchasing open box items. If your sleep is suffering, and you’ve already tried putting your smartphone in another room to keep the distractions at bay, well you’re in luck. Use code MADNESS20 at checkout to get 20 percent off our favorite mattress. It was slightly cheaper during President’s Day, but it’s a great mattress if you can splurge, and it works well for all sleeping positions. We tried the medium-firm Midnight Luxe model, but there are a few other versions to choose from.
Leesa’s Sapira hybrid is our runner-up pick. This bed is firm but still feels soft, and we kept coming back to it during our testing. It was also cheaper during its President’s Day sale, but it doesn’t usually have great discounts. The $1,699 price it usually is just went up on Amazon to $1,719. We’ll keep checking to see if it stays there.
Use code MADNESS20 to get this discount. The Elite is even more expensive than the other Helix we like, but it is very luxurious with nine layers of foam packed into its 16-inch thick body. Like the Luxe, there are various options depending on what firmness level and sleep position you prefer.
My Green Mattress Kiwi Children’s (Twin) Mattress
Photograph: My Green Mattress
The twin size of this mattress is reasonably priced, so we recommend it as an organic option for kids. We saw it drop to $679 during the President’s Day sale, but this is the usual sale price. It’s made using certified organic cotton, wool, and latex.
WIRED readers can use code WIRED100 to get an additional $100 off the sale price. Technically this deal is $975 off, but we’ve only rarely seen it hit its $2,499 MSRP. When it was available on Amazon, it hovered between $1,625 and $1,700 most of the time. Still, it did occasionally reach peak price, and it is a discount on a great mattress for side sleepers. It needed a full two weeks to break in, though, so give it time. There’s a 120-night sleep trial, but it’s an extra $100.
This DreamCloud bed is the runner-up in our Best Mattresses You Can Buy on Amazon guide. Its eight layers of foam, coiled springs, and cashmere-blend quilted pillow top make it feel luxurious. The medium-firm feel is great for side and back sleepers, but it does lack edge support. We’ve seen it drop lower than this, but it’s steadily $1,399.
Awara Natural Hybrid Mattress
Photograph: Awara
The Awara is a more affordable organic choice, and it is both supportive and bouncy, with little motion transfer. But we could feel the springs a bit more. As a nice plus, it has less off-gassing odors than other beds in boxes we’ve tried.
This is our favorite organic latex mattress. Latex beds are usually very heavy and hard to ship nationally. Turmerry solves this by shipping its bed in four boxes—the three or four separate layers zip into an organic cotton cover.
Enter code DEALS at checkout to get this discount on our favorite side-sleeping mattress. It’s 14 inches thick and firmer than most options geared toward side sleepers. But the layer of springs of varied rigidity allows your hips to sink in comfortably. The Elite occasionally reaches its $2,305 price, but we usually see it around this sale price.
Saatva Classic Innerspring Mattress
Photograph: Saatva
The base price for this bed has risen from $1,995 to $2,095. We haven’t tracked it reaching $1,995 until the end of February, so $400 off is a generous estimate. Still, this innerspring mattress is great if you’re dealing with back pain. The luxury firm option has a quilted organic cotton pillow top that’s zoned to promote lumbar support. A layer of high-density foam helps achy lower backs.
Most cheap mattresses are not going to be great options, but this one is fine if you absolutely need the cheapest bed right now or just want to outfit a guest room. Just know that the edge support is uneven, and the springs are a little creaky.
We liked the Linenspa better, but this is another super-cheap bed that typically costs $252. We’re impressed that its foam is CertiPUR-US certified, which means it doesn’t use formaldehyde or problematic flame retardants. We wouldn’t want to sleep on it every night, but younger people who have yet to face back problems might not mind it. It’s perfect for a guest room.
Sheets, Pillows, and Weighted Blankets Deals
See more info about fabrics and all our favorite picks in our Best Bedsheets guide.
If you have an organic mattress, you should pair it with organic sheets. And if you don’t have one, organic bedding is a more affordable step toward relinquishing chemicals. These Brooklinen sheets are the best organic sheets we’ve tried. They’re soft but not overly silky; crisp but not too tight. They’re made of Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)-certified organic cotton. They’re also Oeko-Tex certified, which means they’re tested for and do not contain any known toxic chemicals.
Buffy’s sheets feel warm and cozy to snuggle into, but they are still light and airy, so you’re not sweating through the night. They’ve held up through many washes, too, with no dreaded pilling. The fabric is eucalyptus Tencel lyocell, which is sustainable and biodegradable.
The Company Store Legends Hotel Velvet Flannel Sheet Set
Use code FAMILY24 to get this discount. These were the softest flannel sheets we tested, though it did take a few washes to get there. If you want warm flannels to cuddle under in the winter, these are a good bet.
Coyuchi’s flannels are another set we liked. They’re still warm and cozy, but a little lighter than the Company Store sheets. If you sleep hot, you may want to splurge on these.
This price is not for the faint of heart, but these were the softest sheets WIRED reviewer Nena Farrell has slept on. They’re silky and cooling, and Farrell says it was nice to slip into a cool bed that warmed up a little once you’re settled.
We haven’t tried these yet, so we can’t say for sure that they’ll be great. However, this 50 percent off deal was too good not to share, and you can return them within 30 days if you end up not liking them. We’ve heard great things and will be testing this bamboo set and the sateen organic set for a future update to our sheets guide.
Buffy Wiggle Pillow
Photograph: Buffy
I love sleeping with this gigantic pillow or curling up with it on the couch. It’s meant to be floppy so you can curl it or tie it, but you can still comfortably lay your head on it. It’s also made using 55 plastic bottles. It’s perfect on its own, but you can get a cover for $81 ($14 off), and there are now more color and fabric options than when we tried it.
Most colors are already sold out, but if you can grab one, Brooklinen’s weighted blanket is one of my favorites. It looks nice, with one satisfyingly textured side and one of washed cotton. It’s a good size too. It’s not too small to snuggle under on the couch, but I could still sleep under it without it covering my husband, who doesn’t like weighted blankets.
This price is for the black and oak colors. WIRED reviewer Jaina Grey says these slippers are like clouds for your feet with a nice beaded design. Manitobah is Indigenous-owned and staffed with Indigenous designers.
This sale price is also only for select colors. L.L.Bean’s Wicked Good slippers are a classic beloved by most who try them. I’ve gifted them to family members, and WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu bought these for his wife. He says they’ve held up over the three years she’s used them. The brand has a few other Wicked Good styles to choose from too.
Brooklinen Super-Plush Robe
Photograph: Brooklinen
This is a classic robe for lounging in while drinking coffee or throwing on after a shower. It feels a bit like a towel, but not scratchy, and it’s held up in the wash. There are great new colors as well as a nice rotating list of limited-edition colors and prints.
We tried the adult version of this robe, and this one is made for 7- to 11-year-olds. It’s 8 pounds, which is just enough to feel like a nice hug but not so heavy that your little one can’t get off the couch. However, it’s pricey even on sale.
Hatch makes great sound machine/night light combos, and the Rest is one of the cheaper models in its lineup. Adults and kids will like it as a bedside companion, but there are time-to-rest and time-to-rise beacons designed specifically for kids. You’ll get a few nice sleep sounds as is, but if you subscribe to the Hatch membership, it unlocks a ton of bedtime stories, lullabies, and mediations.
This isn’t a mask you’d wear to sleep, but Gravity’s eye massager (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is a great addition to a wind-down routine. Using air pressure, heat, and vibration, this mask gently massages your temples, helping to soothe sore eyes and headaches. I’ve tried a lot of fun things as a WIRED gear writer, but eye massages are among the top five.
Enter code REST25 at checkout to apply this discount. Breathing exercises can help fight insomnia or ward off panic attacks. You don’t need a device to do them, but if you’re having trouble controlling your breathing, this little thing works. Hold it in your hand with your thumb on the heart rate sensor, and match your breath to the device as it expands and contracts. It connects to an app, but if you set your default breathing exercise, you can just grab the device and use it without opening your phone.
These earbuds are half headphones, half sleep tracker. They’re not for everyone, and our tester found it tricky to get comfortable while wearing them, but he loved that you could layer a meditation or sleep story over a nice soundscape like rain. If it’s in your budget and you’ve exhausted other sleep headphone options, these may be worth a shot.
March 10 is Mario Day, owing to the resemblance of “Mar 10” to the name of the world’s jumpiest plumber. It’s an occasion when Nintendo typically discounts games from the Mario universe, plus consoles and accessories. We’ve gathered up a list of the best deals below. Most of them will end by March 17, though some might sell out or expire a little earlier.

Console Deals
Nintendo has said that console deals will begin on March 10. Retailers will be offering a $25 gift card with the purchase of a Nintendo Switch console. While specific details have not yet been shared, we anticipate that participating retailers will include Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart.

It’s rare to see an outright cash discount on the Nintendo Switch OLED (8/10, WIRED Recommends). This model features a 7-inch display, an improved kickstand, and 64 gigabytes of internal storage. Our list of the Best Nintendo Switch Accessories has suggestions to help you trick out your new console.
Game Deals

This game is a WIRED favorite. It’s fun for players of all ages, no matter how much Mario Kart they’ve played before. You can whip red shells and banana peels at up to seven opponents.
What could be more fun than beating your friends in minigames as you race to get the most stars? Doing it on new levels with fresh RNG elements. Up to four people can play at once locally. Online play is offered, too, for folks with a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Read more about the service here.
This fun multiplayer game can double as a home workout. If you’ve ever wanted to obliterate Toad in a game of tennis, it’s your time to shine.

Another WIRED favorite, Luigi’s Mansion is arguably the most fun you can have with a vacuum cleaner. There’s a fun couch co-op mode where a second player controls a spectral, gooey version of Luigi to help solve puzzles. And looting is fun! One or two players can game locally, and there’s an online version that supports up to eight.
This cozy platformer is like a puzzle-solving treasure hunt. You can beat stages alone or hand the controller to your couchmate for two-player co-op. We especially like Mellow mode, which makes gameplay just a bit easier and more relaxing.
This golf game supports up to four players. It features stylized courses and oodles of characters to play as—or against. Each character has their own special shot and special movement, plus a fun Battle Golf mode where the stakes are even higher.

Typically, free trials of Nintendo Switch Online are a week long, so this gets you an extra week. It’s not limited to new users either, so if you’ve had a trial membership before, this offer still applies. Like the name suggests, this service allows you to play games online. Read more about Nintendo Switch Online in our Gaming Subscriptions guide.
This deal is part of a larger Samsung sale. If you don’t have a microSD card in your Switch, this is a solid deal on a large-capacity card. It’ll add a ton of space to your console, and for less money than usual.
This basic controller doesn’t have rumble functions or some of the features that Pro controllers have, but the price is right, and it works just fine. It has a headphone jack and two programmable shortcut buttons on the back. Check out our Best Nintendo Switch Accessories guide for additional recommendations.
This Lego set includes a buildable course, plus Princess Peach, Lemmy, and Yellow Toad figurines. The Peach figure even has an LCD screen and a built-in speaker. You can pair the set with Lego Luigi and Mario to make a two-player game. Both sets are on sale for $48 as well, though they are discounted more frequently than the Peach set.
Your Galaxy Z Flip 5 is one of the most uniquely designed smartphones on the market, and this originality requires some imaginative thinking from Samsung when it comes to creating accessories.
Samsung really put its mind to work to develop some of the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s cases. And today, we’re taking a look at the best Samsung accessories you can get for your foldable flip phone.
The iconic Galaxy Z Flip 5 FlipSuit Case
Let’s start with one that is impossible to ignore: the FlipSuit Case. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 was Samsung’s first smartphone to introduce the FlipSuit Case, and they really make a perfect match. In short, the FlipSuit Case is a transparent silicon case that looks quite average, yet it’s anything but.
The beauty of the FlipSuit case lies in the interchangeable NFC cards you can slide between the case and the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s back panel. These Interactive Cards come with unique designs but also enable new wallpapers and animations for the cover screen and the foldable display, new themes, icon packs, and more. Here are some examples:
The FlipSuit case itself costs $60, and Interactive Cards can usually be purchased separately for $15 each. The availability of FlipSuit case Interactive Cards differs by market, and you will have to refer to your local Samsung store to see which ones are available for your Galaxy Z Flip 5.
In the USA, at least, you can pair your Galaxy Z Flip 5 and FlipSuit Case with Interactive Cards such as:

Samsung is launching a new range of accessories for the Samsung Galaxy S24 range of smartphones called Eco-Friends. Samsung has partnered with mobile accessory company SLASH B SLASH and there are a total of 57 cases in the range.
Samsung Eco-Friends, crafted by Samsung’s Future Generation Lab, is a line of eco-conscious accessories like cases and straps, using sustainable materials such as recycled plastic and vegan leather with a minimum of 40% post-consumer materials.
Designs inspired by The Rolling Stones, Queen and other artists offer users another way to express themselves. In particular, Samsung’s collaboration with K-pop boy band Stray Kids lets fans watch videos of their favorite members simply by inserting a near-field communication (NFC) card6 into the case. Each collectible card hosts a unique collection of videos and photos featuring individual Stray Kids members so fans can enjoy a one-of-a-kind, pocketable experience.
Using waste, we are making an effort to convey the values of a circular economy,” said Samsung’s Future Generation Lab. “We will continue to develop accessories that intrigue customers by utilizing various technologies.”
First released in Korea on February 6, Samsung Eco-Friends will soon be available in major markets worldwide7 including the U.S. and Japan. The accessories can be purchased at the company’s immersive Samsung Gangnam flagship store, as well as Samsung.com and SLASH B SLASH’s online mall.
