Apple has released a range of new beta to developers, the latest one is watchOS 10.1 beta 3 for the Apple Watch. This was released along with iOS 17.1 beta 3 for the iPhone, iPadOS 17.1 beta 3 for the iPad, and macOS Sonoma 14.1 beta 3 for the Mac.
The new beta of watchOS 10.1 has been made available to developers and we are also expecting it to be released to public beta testers as well, this new beta lands a week after the second beta.
The latest beta for watchOS 10.1 delivers a range of performance improvements and bug fixes for the Apple Watch, along with the introduction of features initially slated for watchOS 10 but not included in its final release.
A significant new feature in this beta is NameDrop, which enables the sharing of contact information directly from your Apple Watch to another individual’s Apple Watch or iPhone. To take advantage of this functionality, both users must have iPhones running on iOS 17 or higher.
As this is the third beta in the series, we can expect one or two more before the final version of watchOS 10.1 is released to everyone, this should happen sometime around the end of October or the start of November.

Additionally, the update enables the NameDrop feature to work seamlessly between the iPhone and Apple Watch. Apple Music has also seen updates, allowing users to designate their favorite songs, playlists, and other media.
Moreover, this new beta version enriches the iPhone’s audio experience by adding an array of fresh text tones and ringtones. Tweaks have also been applied to the Books & Journal applications, and updates have been rolled out for Dynamic Island and other features.

The first feature that impressed me straight out of the box with the amount of connectivity which is easily accessible from the front of the station. Offering two 5V 2.4a USB ports together three USB-C ports with one offering 100W Power Delivery and the other two 30W Power Delivery. There is also connectivity for 12 V connections using the integrated cigarette lighter connection or a 30A connection.
The prominent LCD display is also very useful providing easy to read input and output measurements. When charging you can also see how long it will take to charge the remaining battery and also if you are in fast charging mode or not.
Separate power console sections
Another feature I liked on the Dabbsson DBS2300 was the ability to enable or disable certain sections of the power station such as turning on and off the USB ports, 12V section and the AC power outlets. Allowing you to easily make sure that you not charging anything that doesn’t need it. Helping you conserve power for those more important charging tasks.
One thing I would say about the DBS2300 is its weight. Even though 26kg is not that heavy I wouldn’t recommend carrying it very far. I would recommend using a trolley or transportation if you need to move it far so that you can take it as close as you need to where power is required without any injuries.
