Porsche Panamera 4S E-Hybrid unveiled

Porsche Panamera 4S E-Hybrid

Porsche has unveiled some new hybrid versions of its Panamera, the Porsche Panamera 4S E-Hybrid and the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and both models come with a new e-hybrid system and a 2.9 litre V6 bi-turbo engine.

The Porsche Panamera 4S E-Hybrid comes with 544 PS which gives the car a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds and the 4 E-Hyrbid model comes with 470 PS, which gives the car a 0 to 100 km/h time of 4.1 seconds.

Porsche is further expanding its range of powertrains for the Panamera sports saloon. As part of the E-Performance strategy, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid have been added to the portfolio with immediate effect. This is Porsche’s response to the particularly strong interest in efficient and dynamic e-hybrid powertrains in many markets. The Panamera will be available in a total of four performance variants of this advanced powertrain technology.

The four optimised E-Hybrid-specific driving modes, as well as the improved Sport and Sport Plus modes, further optimise the efficiency of the E-Hybrid models. The vehicles always start in the purely electric E-Power mode. Once the state of charge of the battery is under a certain minimum value, the system automatically switches to Hybrid Auto mode, which adapts the operating strategy to the current driving situation. In addition, with active route guidance in Hybrid Auto, the operating strategy is further optimised by knowing the route ahead. In this way, the proportion of electrically driven distances in city traffic can be maximised and efficiency increased. The system uses both car and navigation data for this purpose.

New Porsche Panamera unveiled – timeswonderful

Porsche Panamera

Porsche has unveiled its new Panamera, this is the third generation Porsche Panamera and the car comes with a range of upgrades over the previous models. This includes a new design, improved performance, and the latest technology.

Pricing for the new V6 Panamera will start at £79,500 in the UK and the top model, the Turbo which is now an E-Hybrid starts at £141,400 on the road in the UK, you can see more information below.

Porsche Panamera

The new Panamera already comes with dual-chamber two-valve air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard. The two-valve technology separates the rebound and compression stages of the damper control and therefore offers an even wider range between comfort and sportiness: the system noticeably dampens impacts from transverse joints and road damage while at the same time ensuring more body stability in dynamic driving situations. The car’s handling can be further improved thanks to optional all-wheel steering.

In addition, the innovative Porsche Active Ride active suspension system is available as an option for the E-Hybrid models of the new Panamera. This system surpasses other suspension concepts in all relevant parameters and offers an unprecedented range between driving comfort and driving dynamics. The basis for this is newly developed active shock absorbers – also with two-valve technology – each connected to an electrically operated hydraulic pump. This generates a volume flow in the damper according to demand and can therefore build up forces between the body and wheels in a lightning-fast, highly precise and targeted manner, which counteract and almost completely compensate for the forces resulting from the road excitation. A weight-saving single-chamber air-suspension system complements this technology.

New Porsche Panamera interior revealed

Porsche Panamera

Porsche is getting ready to launch its next-generation Porsche Panamera and now we get to see what the car looks like inside with some official photos. The interior of the new Panamera has had a redesign and it now features displays on the passenger side as well as the driver side.

Porsche is going to make their next generation Panamera official on the 24th of November 2023, the new interior design has taken its inspiration from the Porsche Taycan electric vehicle.

The focus on the driver’s axis manifests itself in numerous details. For example, Porsche is placing the toggle switch for navigating through the options provided by the instrument cluster, and the mode switch for selecting the driving programmes, directly on the steering wheel. The gear selector lever is located directly next to it. This decision opens up space on the centre console for an elegant climate control panel that combines touch surfaces and physical switches into a solution that is as intuitive as it is elegant. New, completely finless and electrically adjustable air vents are installed in the centre console. It is possible to switch between several pre-configured and personalised climate control modes at the press of a button. In addition, the storage bin in the centre console offers more space than before.
