Many messaging and social media platforms, including Instagram and WhatsApp, have been offering the ability to edit messages for quite some time now. However, Snapchat still misses out on this crucial feature. Fortunately, that’s finally going to change.
Snapchat has announced that the Snapchat app will soon let you edit a message, allowing you to fix a typo or change the message if “something didn’t come out just quite right.” According to the company, you will be able to edit a message up to five minutes after sending it. Snapchat says that the feature is “coming soon” and that it will be “available first for Snapchat+ subscribers.” Once you edit a message, the app will add an ‘Edited’ tag to the message to indicate that it has been edited.
Snapchat+ is a paid subscription service that costs USD 3.99 per month and offers early access to new features among other things. We hope that the company makes this feature available to free users soon after rolling it out to the Snapchat+ members.
