Jacob Elordi Looks Dapper As Elvis Presley In Photos From Sofia Coppolas ‘Priscilla Biopic

Thank you, thank you so much for these photos of Jacob Elordi as Elvis Presley. To tell the story of Euphoria star Priscilla Presley , director Sofia Coppola brings the late singer to life in the biopic Priscilla .

Jacob , 25, wore a brown jacket and neutral sweater with his hair down while filming on Monday (November 14) in Toronto, Canada. She joined her co -star Kaylee Spaney , who will play Priscilla, for several sets. For the scene, the 25-year-old actress wore a gray skirt and a brown jacket.

It was announced last month that HBO star Austin Butler will take over the role of the “Jailhouse Rock” singer, months after bringing Elvis to life in Baz Luhrmann ‘s Elvis , which was released last June. However, director Sophia confirmed that while some of their characters are the same, the film will be completely different.

“I’m very excited to do something based on this American woman for the first time, and Priscilla is a huge glamor icon,” the director told Collider on October 15. “I was very interested in Priscilla’s story and her perspective on who she was. They all seem to have grown up in Graceland as teenagers. I passed through all the stages of youth in such an expanded world as Marie Antoinette.’

The film will be based on Priscilla’s 1985 memoir Elvis and Me . Although Priscilla’s life was not discussed in the Elvis film, Sophia’s biography will present her side of the story.

“I loved that Buzz took a very collaged approach to his story, but I’m glad he didn’t delve into Priscilla’s story because now I can delve into her,” she shared. “I think Buzz is very unique and his take on this story was very creative. But Priscilla is such a minor character in this movie that I never felt like I was entering the same territory. I love that people loved his Elvis movie so much and now there will be another Priscilla movie in a few years. I think it would be interesting to have two completely different interpretations of the same event and period.”
