Dongfeng Malaysia is showcasing three new energy vehicles at KLIMS 2026 that could potentially enter our local market.

Making their first public appearance in Malaysia are the Dongfeng 008 SUV, the M-Hero II off-road SUV and the Voyah Dream premium MPV.

According to Dongfeng, the showcase highlights the brand’s ambition to expand beyond its current offerings, and introduce innovative New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) and premium mobility solutions to local consumers.

Voyah Dream: Premium MPV with up to 1,530km range

Leading the showcase is the Voyah Dream, a flagship premium 7-seater MPV from Dongfeng’s luxury sub-brand, Voyah.

The Voyah Dream is available in both fully electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The EV version features a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup producing 405kW (543hp) and 620Nm, paired with a 108.7kWh battery that offers up to 700km of CLTC-rated range.

Meanwhile, the latest PHEV version is built on an 800V architecture and supports 5C fast charging. Depending on the battery option, it offers between 235km and 350km of pure electric driving range, while total combined driving range can reach up to 1,530km on the CLTC cycle.

According to Dongfeng Malaysia, the Voyah Dream combines premium cabin amenities, intelligent features and a refined ride experience aimed at both families and executive users.

M-Hero II: Rugged off-road PHEV SUV with 687hp and up to 1,365km range

Also making its Malaysian debut is the M-Hero II (also known as M-Hero M817 in China), a luxury plug-in hybrid SUV that combines rugged military-inspired styling with electrified performance.

The rugged SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with dual electric motors, producing a combined output of 687hp and 848Nm of torque. With battery pack options of up to 50.4kWh, enabling up to 215km of CLTC-rated electric driving range and a combined driving range of up to 1,365km. This SUV has a 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.2 seconds.

The M-Hero II features intelligent all-wheel drive, multiple terrain modes and advanced chassis technologies, positioning it as a premium SUV for buyers seeking both off-road capability and long-distance touring ability.

Dongfeng 008: Fully electric SUV

Completing the preview line-up is the Dongfeng 008 which is offered internationally in both fully electric and Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) forms. The showcased fully electric variant is powered by a rear-mounted motor producing 200kW (268hp) and 340Nm of torque.

Paired with an 82.28kWh LFP battery, this SUV delivers up to 636km of CLTC-rated range and DC charging from 30-80% takes 28 minutes. In China, the Dongfeng 008 is offered in either 5-seater or 6-seater variants.

Dongfeng continues to expand its presence in Malaysia

Beyond the vehicle showcase, Dongfeng Malaysia says it is actively expanding its dealer and service network nationwide and is seeking new dealer partners. The company added that it plans to establish additional showrooms and service centres across key regions in Malaysia. In addition, it has also committed to local assembly plans with production expected to start by the end of 2026.

Besides the current Dongfeng Box, Vigo and 007, visitors can view the Dongfeng 008, M-Hero II and Voyah Dream at the Dongfeng Malaysia booth during KLIMS 2026, which runs until 21 June at MITEC Kuala Lumpur.
