- If you have not yet submitted your tax return , there is something you need to know before the deadline of April 18. From the story: Six weeks before the April 18 federal deadline, time is running out for tax season and millions of taxpayers who have yet to file their annual returns with the IRS. Early reports filed with the IRS give an idea of what to expect this year, from processing times to refund amounts. Watch the video above.
- A cat found in a tree in Ohio has been exposed to cocaine. From the story: The news that Serval had passed a drug test shortly after the release of "Coca Bear" quickly led to the nickname "Coca-Cat" trending on Twitter. The fat cat's name is Amiri.
- NASA is tracking an asteroid that could hit Earth on Valentine's Day 2046 . From history: The asteroid known as 2023 DW was first discovered on February 26, according to the European Space Agency. It has now been added to the agency's risk list, which is a catalog of space objects that could have some kind of impact on Earth, and it is at the top of the list because of what scientists have seen so far.
- It looks like slapstick is going to be the next big sport in the United States. Plot wise: A sleeper fight is a one-on-one contest where opponents punch each other in the face until one of them submits or is knocked out. Although athletes have been playing unorganized games in smaller venues for years, the competition gained a large following when the Nevada Athletic Commission certified it as a sport in October.
- The U.S. Army has reintroduced the slogan "Be All You Can" to boost recruiting efforts during the economic downturn. From the story: The Army missed recruiting targets by nearly 25 percent last year in what its commanders described as the toughest recruiting environment since the creation of the all-volunteer force. Army leaders blame the shortage on young Americans' lack of knowledge about the military and the opportunities it offers.
- Ultimately , the girl's viral TikTok helped save her family's California restaurant . History: Lee's Noodle House opened its doors 20 years ago. But financial problems began in 2017, when the deadly Tubbs Fire — at the time the largest wildfire in California history — ravaged Santa Rosa. Watch the video below.
