CALLUM Skye

CALLUM has unveiled a new electric off-road vehicle, the CALLUM Skye, and this new EV is designed to be a performance multi-terrain vehicle, it certainly looks very interesting from the photos.

“At four metres long, the CALLUM SKYE is dramatically proportioned with a concise exterior aesthetic driven by its capabilities. It has been designed to exceed expectations: minimal mass, maximum capability – exceptionally usable and an absolute joy to drive,” explains Ian Callum, head of design at CALLUM.

“The exterior features a striking accent loop, intersected by a strong horizontal structure, flanked by organic forms front and rear. It is pared down to a level of necessity and understatement. At the heart of its story is its performance, style and capability, and a design integral to the engineering elements. For example, the lower section of the doors have beautifully integrated glass, offering outstanding visibility in all conditions. I believe the SKYE is truly authentic – unique in concept and presence in the market.”

Samsung Electronics and Maison Margiela, the Parisian Haute Couture house, today announced their second collaboration to create a special edition of the Galaxy Z Flip5. This collaboration further expands the innovative partnership by embracing the brand identities of both Samsung Galaxy and Maison Margiela to deliver a device for people desiring freshness and unconventionality.

“Samsung and Maison Margiela have continued to surprise the industry by breaking conventions and norms, and support those who seek individuality,” said Stephanie Choi, EVP & Head of Marketing of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “This second collaboration between the two brands brings together fashion and technology by approaching a high-tech device in a way similar to the construction of an haute couture garment. Through this collaboration, we want consumers to discover their own identity and express it without limitation.”

Mini Countryman S ALL4

Mini has added another car to its Countryman range with the launch of the new Mini Countryman S ALL4, the car comes with a 2.0-liter twin-power petrol engine and a 48v mild hybrid power as well.

The ALL4 all-wheel drive system provides a noticeable increase in traction, safety, driving stability and agility. Thanks to its fast and precise electronic control, the power is distributed between the front and rear wheels as needed under all road and weather conditions.

The slightly increased track width and increased wheelbase form the basis for excellent driving dynamics and increase comfort. For even more driving fun on any surface, new wheel and tire combinations are available for the MINI Countryman.

Direct steering and the combination of single-joint McPherson strut front axle and multi-link rear axle guarantee the unmistakable and typical MINI go-kart feeling. To switch between city traffic and trips into nature, the chassis can be balanced and comfortable or particularly sporty. An adaptive chassis with 15 mm lowering and frequency-selective dampers is optionally available.

New MediaTek Dimensity 8300 mobile processor unveiled

MediaTek Dimensity 8300

MediaTek has launched its latest mobile processor, the new MediaTek Dimensity 8300 which gets a range of upgrades over the previous generation processor. The new processor comes with a 20% faster CPU and it offers 30% peak gains in power efficiency.

According to the press release, the new Dimensity 8300 offers 60% greater performance and it come with 55% better power efficiency, plus it has a range of generative AI capabilities and low-power and adaptive gaming technology.

“With MediaTek’s optimized Dimensity 8000 series, consumers don’t have to pick and choose between accessibility and premier experiences like flagship-grade memory or accelerated AI capabilities—they can have it all,” said Dr. Yenchi Lee, Deputy General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications Business Unit. “The Dimensity 8300 unlocks new possibilities for the premium smartphone segment, offering users in-hand AI, hyper-realistic entertainment opportunities, and seamless connectivity without sacrificing efficiency.” 

The MediaTek Dimensity 8300 is the first premium-tier SoC to come with full generative AI support, thanks to the APU 780 AI processor integrated into the chipset. This enables the Dimensity 8300 to provide support to developers to build innovative applications that leverage large language models (LLMs) up to 10B, as well as stable diffusion. The APU 780 features the same architecture as the flagship Dimensity 9300 SoC, resulting in 2x improvement in INT and FP16 computation and a 3.3x boost in AI performance over the Dimensity 8200.These AI capabilities, combined with MediaTek’s 14-bit HDR-ISP Imagiq 980, will take premium smartphone photography and video capturing to new heights. Users will be able to capture sharper, clearer videos at 4K60 HDR, and record for longer thanks to the Dimensity 8300’s extremely power efficient design.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R

Xiaomi has launched a new Android smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R, and the handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 mobile processor it comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of included storage.

The handset is equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED Display with a FullHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels the display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and it comes with a range of cameras.

There is a single camera on the front of the handset and two cameras on the rear. On the front of the device, there is a 16-megapixel camera that is designed for taking selfies and for making video calls.

On the back of the handset, there is a 108-megapixel main camera for photos and videos, there is also a 2-megapixel depth camera as well and the handset comes with a 5000 mAh battery and it features 33W fast charging.

The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R will launch in China and the device will retail for CNY 1,999 which is about $280 at the current exchange rate, as yet there are no details on whether it is headed to more countries. The handset will be available in a choice of three colors, Black, Blue, and Gold as per the photo above.

Alfa Romeo Tonale, Giulia and Stelvio Tributa unveiled

Alfa Romeo has unveiled a new special version of its Tonale, Giulia, and Stelvio called the Tributo range and the cars are available exclusively in the three colors of the Italian flag, green, white, and red.

The cars also feature a black roof and black mirror caps and there are a range of upgrades inside the car as well, these include perforated leather seats with red accents, you can see more details below.

The main features of Tributo Italiano – stemming from the stylistic and aesthetic language shared by the three models – include a two-tone livery with black roof, body-colour bodykit, Italian flag on the mirror caps, and a refined interior. The additions serve as evidence of meticulous attention to detail combined with the constant quest for the highest quality.

Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale Tributo Italiano are positioned at the top of their respective ranges and are offered exclusively in the three colours of the Italian flag (Alfa Red, Montreal Green, and Banchise White) paired with a black roof. A retractable glass roof is also available for Tonale.

The bold exterior details on Tributo Italiano include the front grille with dark ‘V’ insert; alloy wheels (21-inch on the Stelvio, 19-inch on the Giulia and 20-inch on the Tonale) combined with sporty red Brembo brake calipers. To add additional elegance to the brand’s characteristic sportiness, throughout the line-up and for the first time on the Tonale, Tributo Italiano includes a lower bodykit, front and rear bumper side inserts, wheel arches, and side skirts all in body colour.

Kia has unveiled their new 2024 Kia Sorrento SUV for the USA and the car comes with a facelifted exterior design, plus an updated interior with the latest technology including a panoramic curved display.

The Sorento’s confident stance was achieved by combining Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy with the concept of “Bold for Nature.” The upright front hood and squared off edges are reminiscent of the award-winning Telluride, with its distinctive amber daytime running lights reimagined on the Sorento for a sleek and modern aesthetic. Around back, vertical taillamps are unmistakably Telluride. From the EV9’s playbook, the Sorento boasts a broad and rectangular front grille, complemented by vertically stacked LED projector headlamps that emphasize the front end. The constellation inspired Star Map lighting elements in the front and rear lend the Sorento a futuristic edge, while the front and lower bumpers incorporate a wider skid plate garnish for extra rugged appeal.

Within the cabin, horizontal features such as the air vents and controls give the interior a streamlined and modern aesthetic, creating a sense of openness. At the heart of the interior’s transformation is an available panoramic curved display that integrates dual 12.3-inch screens3 (panoramic panel with 4.3-inch TFT and 12.3-inch screen is standard). Borrowed from the Telluride and Sportage, the Sorento’s exterior color options now include Midnight Lake Blue and Dawning Red. In the HEV and PHEV versions scheduled for later in 2024, an available lush Dust Blue interior color palette provides a relaxed and inviting ambiance.

Lamborghini Huracan STO SC 10°

The livery is inspired by the Lamborghini SC63, the hybrid prototype of the Hypercar/GTP class that the brand will field in the world’s most prestigious endurance races in the 2024 racing season, such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring. The colours chosen for the two-tone livery are Verde Mantis (green) and Nero Noctis (black), combined with a tricolor band that runs entirely across the “cofango” and roof.

We recently saw the new Peugeot E-Rifter EV and now Peugeot has unveiled another new electric vehicle, the Peugeot E-Traveller, and this vehicle comes with a range of up to 217 miles on a single charge.

The new Peugeot E-Traveller comes in two lengths, standard and long and it has been designed for passenger transport and comes with the choice of between five and nine seats depending on the configuration.

The new E-TRAVELLER is adaptable and practical with sliding and removable seats, shelves in row two, integrated sun blinds, and more. It is also perfect for outdoor activities thanks to Advanced Grip Control® with Hill Assist Descent Control, and an adjustable traction control system for use on low-grip surfaces with modes for sand, mud, and snow.

The new E-TRAVELLER features generous interior space with no compromise thanks to the batteries being located under the floor. Depending on the configuration, the new E-TRAVELLER can carry up to nine people with a boot volume of 1,500 litres, or five people and 3,000 litres, or even offer up to 4,900 litres of load volume with two or three people on board.

Building on these strengths, the new E-TRAVELLER goes one step further to offer a higher level of user-friendliness, safety and efficiency.
