Garmin Descent G1 Solar Ocean Edition

Garmin has unveiled its latest smartwatch, the Garmin Descent G1 Solar Ocean Edition which is designed to be a dive comp[uter and it can be used for a wide variety of fitness activities, it has also been made of recycled ocean-bound plastics.

The Descent™ Mk3 series watch-style dive computers and Descent T2 transceiver with enhanced SubWave™ sonar technology that – through a soon-to-be-released software update – will add diver-to-diver messaging and Diver Assistance1 to tank pressure monitoring. Purpose-built with a dive-first approach to design, the Descent Mk3 series comes in two sizes – 43mm and 51mm – with air integration options on both and feature a vibrant touchscreen AMOLED display, a 200-metre dive-rated case with metal leakproof buttons that are fully operational at that depth, and up to 48 hours of battery life in dive mode2. The 51mm Descent Mk3i also comes with a built-in LED flashlight for greater visibility in low-light conditions—even underwater. With tools like multiple dive modes, DiveView™ maps and dive readiness score, plus Garmin’s suite of health, fitness and connected features, the Descent Mk3 series helps divers make the most of their adventures above and below the surface.

Honor X50i+ Android smartphone unveiled

Honor X50i+

Honor has unveiled its latest Android smartphone, the Honor X50i+, and the handset comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that features a Full HD+ resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels and it comes with a 90Hz refresh rate.

The new Honor X50i+ smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 mobile processor and the handset features a choice of 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage or 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The handset does not feature a microSD card slot, and it comes with a range of cameras, there is a single camera on the front of the device and two cameras on the rear. On the rear of the handset, there is a 108-megapixel main camera for photos and videos, and there is also a 2-megapixel depth camera.

On the front there is an 8-megapixel camera that is designed for video chat and for snapping selfies, the handset comes with a 45000 mAh battery and it also comes with 35W fast charging and reverse wired charging.

The new Honor X50i+  will come in a choice of four different colors, Green, Pink, Black or Blue and it will retail for CNY 1,599 for the 256GB model or $220, the 512GB model will cost $1,799 or $245.

McLaren 750S with 3-7-59 Theme

MacLaren has unveiled a special edition version of its 750S, the McLaren 750S with 3-7-59 Theme, the car was created by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) and it showcases the race numbers of three race-winning cars.

McLaren Automotive has revealed its most ambitious and exacting bespoke livery ever – the astonishingly complex 3-7-59 Theme. Realised by the expert paint technicians at McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the Theme was showcased on a very special McLaren 750S supercar unveiled today by McLaren F1 driver, Lando Norris, McLaren IndyCar driver Pato O’Ward, and former McLaren F1 driver Derek Bell, who twice competed at 24 Hours of Le Mans in a McLaren F1 GTR. The trio of drivers were joined by Michael McDonagh, Director of MSO and Motorsport at McLaren Automotive.

McLaren 750S with 3-7-59 Theme

Publicly revealed at luxury motorsports festival, Velocity International, taking place at Sonoma Raceway, USA, the 3-7-59 is a stunning tribute to McLaren’s unique success in winning motorsport’s unofficial ‘Triple Crown’ of victories at the Indianapolis 500, the Monaco Grand Prix and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Its reveal stands out as one of the most memorable moments in a year of celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of McLaren being founded, in 1963.

Xiaomi Redmi 13C

Xiaomi has added a new Android smartphone to its range with the launch of the new Xiaomi Redmi 13C and the handset is equipped with a 6.74-inch LCD display that has a 90Hz refresh rate and a HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels.

The handset is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 mobile processor and there is a choice of three different RAM options, 4GB 6GB, or 8GB, there is also a choice of two storage options 1278GB or 256GB,  if you need some extra storage there is also a MicroSD card slot for expansion.

The new Xiaomi Redmi 13C comes with a range of cameras, there are two cameras on the rear of the device and a single camera on the front of the handset. On the front of the device an 8-megapixel camera that is designed for video calls and taking selfies.

On the back of the handset, there is a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera, the device comes with a 5,000 mAh battery and it features 18W fast charging although it only comes bundled with a 10W charger in the box.

The handset will come in a choice of four colors, Glacier White, Clover Green, Navy Blye, and Midnight Black, pricing for the new Xiaomi Redmi 13C smartphone  starts at around €115.

Nissan unveiled its latest concept car at Japan Mobility 2023, the Nissan Hyper Force concept, Nissan also showed off some of its other interesting concept cars at the event that we saw previously.

We previously saw the Hyper Punk concept, the Hyper Tourer concept, the Hyper Adventure concept, and the Hyper Urban concept and now we have the new Nissan Hyper Force concept.

Nissan president and CEO Makoto Uchida said: “All five concept cars showcased today are symbols of the future and embody our founding spirit of ‘daring to do what others don’t’. We have advanced our EV innovations, moving beyond mobility to create a more sustainable world. The exterior design, with its wide and planted proportions, is a blend of sleek curves merging seamlessly with bold geometry that reflects the performance underneath. Incorporated throughout the design are elements, such as on the front and rear lamps, that pay homage to Nissan’s high-performance cars.

Samsung has unveiled some of the features that should be in their new Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone, the ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace & E2E AI Remosaic Solutions for the Samsung 200-megapixel image sensor.

Samsung has released a video showing the new ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace feature, this feature lets you select a subject and then the camera will automatically track that subject as it moves.

Samsung’s latest video feature, ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace, gives users more freedom and creativity while filming with their smartphones. With the new solution for 200MP image sensors, users can select the desired subject and the camera will automatically track and film it. Until now, users have had to focus on a moving subject when shooting a video themselves. But with ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace and Qualcomm AI engine, the camera quickly finds a moving subject and tracks and follows it, ensuring that it is not missed during filming. Even fast-moving subjects are prevented from going off-screen. Additionally, videos can be shot with less screen shake.

This feature applies to zoomed-in areas with high resolution, as well, thanks to real-time remosaic1 capabilities. ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace takes charge of tasks involved in tracking moving subjects while shooting video, and users can simply enjoy the scene in front of them with their own eyes.

We are looking forward to finding out more details about the new Samsung Galaxy S24 range of smartphones, the handset are expected to launch in early 2024.
