Samsung Showcases its Latest Mobile Devices at CES

Samsung is showcasing its latest mobile devices at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, this includes its existing range of smartphones including the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold handsets, and new devices like the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 range of laptops.

Samsung has also launched some new rugged devices at CES 2024, this includes the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 smartphone and the Galaxy Tab Active 5, the video below gives us more details about Samsung’s new devices at CES.

The dedicated Mobile Experience Zone at Samsung’s booth pulled attendees in for one last glimpse at the company’s top innovations where visitors could experience the latest Galaxy products, including the Galaxy Book4 Series, and view how they are strengthened by partnerships with industry leaders.

The new Galaxy Book4 Series was spotlighted near the entrance of the zone. Attendees could experience the strong AI performance and the incredibly responsive touchscreen display of the Galaxy Book4, released on January 4 in Korea.

The Galaxy Book4 series is equipped with the new Intel® Core™ Ultra Processor, offering expanded connectivity and a high-performance AI experience. The zone featured up-close demonstrations of the laptop’s increased processing power, made possible by a newly-added Neural Processing Unit (NPU).

Equipped with the latest AI technology, SmartThings adds a new layer of convenience to life, taking the hassle out of previously tedious activities.

The  Neo QLED 8K comes with 8K AI Upscaling Pro,m AI Motion Ehancer Pro, Real Depth Enhancer Pro and a range of other features, more information on this new 8K TV is below.

Samsung’s newest Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs offer the full package, including lifelike picture quality, premium audio technology and a rich array of apps and services. At its core, the 2024 Neo QLED 8K is Samsung’s latest and most innovative TV processor yet: NQ8 AI Gen3, which has a neural processing unit (NPU) that is twice as fast as that of its predecessor. The amount of neural networks has also increased eightfold from 64 to 512, allowing everything on screen to be displayed in crisp detail. Thanks to this advanced processor, the 2024 lineup is equipped with unprecedented performance upgrades.

The 2024 Tizen OS brings content front and center on the Neo QLED 8K lineup. It offers a personalized content and service experience based on different accounts set up on smart TVs. Now, different members of each household with a Samsung Smart TV can set up a profile for personalized recommendations and a more customized overall experience.

The new Samsung Ballie robot is powered by AI and ti comes with a built-in projector, the device is designed to be a robotic assistant for your home, have a look at the video of it in. action below.

Ballie acts as a personal home assistant, autonomously driving around the home to complete various tasks. By connecting to and managing home appliances, Ballie can provide a helping hand to users in many situations — continually learning from users’ patterns and habits to provide smarter, more personalized services. Ballie provides peace of mind by sending video updates of pets or loved ones to users’ devices when they’re away from home. What’s more, Ballie can set the mood for any home activity whether users are exercising, working or relaxing. From projecting workout videos on the wall or floor in an optimal size to playing music and answering phone calls, Ballie makes life at home more productive and enjoyable.

The Samsung Ballie Robot certainly looks very interesting from the video, as yet there are no details on when this new AI powered robot companion will go on sale or how much it will cost.

The company’s Transparent MICRO LED display was unveiled for the first time at Samsung First Look 2024 on January 7 (local time) — ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, the world’s largest consumer electronics and information technology exhibition held in Las Vegas from January 9-12. Combining superior craftsmanship with six years of tireless research and development, this new modular MICRO LED wowed attendees with its futuristic design. The Transparent MICRO LED’s crystal-clear, glass-like display has revolutionized the viewing experience and attracted the attention of global consumers.

As yet there are no details on exactly what Samsung is planning to do with their new Samsung MICRO LED Display and whether the device will go into production, as soon as we get some more details, we will let you know.

Using intelligent, intuitive AI capabilities, Microsoft Copilot1 connects the Galaxy Book4 series with your smartphone to make them work seamlessly together. Microsoft Copilot empowers you to find, read or summarize text messages from your Samsung Galaxy phone and even automatically create and send messages on your behalf directly from your PC.

These capabilities mean you can let Copilot track down restaurant recommendations your friends have made in previous messages, search visitor reviews on your browser, then send a message to your partner to ask if they want to go for dinner that evening, all directly from your PC. Without having to turn on your phone and open each individual app, the Galaxy Book4 series lets you access smartphone functions and information faster and smarter.

With the Galaxy Watch, remote patient monitoring will be swifter and more connected, with data available straight from the users’ wrists. Partners can check the patient’s vital signs in real time, alert medical teams of any irregularities and provide up-to-date data to medical staff, allowing for efficient clinical management and timely emergency response decisions.

The Biofourmis remote patient monitoring platform delivers personalized care to thousands of patients each month, deploying its solutions through strategic partnerships with leading medical institutions. Boosted by the Galaxy Watch’s comprehensive biometric data, the service has become better equipped for patient-centered care through its dashboard. Kencor Health combines Galaxy Watch with its platform for personalized remote monitoring and specifically monitors and predicts hyperkalemia in chronic kidney disease patients by using biometric feedback collected from the Galaxy Watch.

Samsung has unveiled its new Designed for Samsung Gaming Hub program at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and Samsung will be showing the program at CES, the program will be used to work with companies to develop accessories for the Samsung Gaming Hub.

Samsung unveiled a new wireless controller with PDP, the Replay Midnight Blue which is one of the first Samsung Gaming Hub devices to launch, it will be available from PDP, Amazon, and Best Buy.

“Samsung recognizes the indispensable role of accessories in elevating gaming experiences,” said Jiho Ha, Head of Service Partnerships Group at Samsung Electronics. “Building on our already-high level of compatibility, the ‘Designed for Samsung Gaming Hub’ program will see us collaborating with trusted partners to craft accessories that further enhance the premier experience of the Samsung Gaming Hub.”

Starting this year, players will see the “Designed for Samsung Gaming Hub” badge, which designates the product has been tested for compatibility, quality, performance, safety and security on Samsung devices. Accessories displaying this badge guarantee the best possible game streaming experience on Samsung Gaming Hub, regardless of the supported Samsung device players choose.

Samsung and Tesla team up on SmartThings Energy

Samsung has announced a new partnership with Tesla on SmartThings Energy, and this will see a range of Tesla products integrated into Samsung’s SmartThings, like the Powerwall home battery, Solar Inverter, Wall Connector charging solutions for Tesla EVs, and more.

“Tesla Energy’s customers can now manage and monitor the power status of their homes through SmartThings Energy and Samsung devices in addition to the Tesla app, ensuring more access and connectivity,” said Chanwoo Park, EVP and Head of IoT Development Team of Device Platform Center at Samsung Electronics. “This new collaboration is a key milestone for Samsung Electronics in making our solution more widely available beyond home appliances.”

The key consumer benefit of Samsung’s collaboration with Tesla allows SmartThings Energy to connect to Tesla Powerwall, Solar Inverter, Wall Connector charging and EVs, allowing SmartThings Energy to display information relating to users’ energy production, storage and usage.

Additionally, consumers will be able to better prepare for power disruptions and outages through SmartThings Energy’s ability to sync with the Tesla app’s Powerwall “Storm Watch” function. This means that in the case of extreme weather events such as typhoons or heavy snowfall, users can be alerted through SmartThings on their connected Samsung TVs and mobiles in addition to the Tesla app. What’s more, they can activate AI Energy Mode before and during power outages to extend the remaining backup energy stored in Tesla Powerwall.
