Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra vs iPhone 15 Pro Max

Galaxy S24 Ultra

Samsung recently launched their new flagship smartphone, the Samsung GalaxyN S24 Ultra, they also launched the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24 Plus and now we get to see how the top model compares to Apple’s flagship model, the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Choosing between the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro Max can feel like standing at a crossroads. Both smartphones boast cutting-edge technology and promise to elevate your mobile experience to new heights. However, the devil is in the details, and understanding these nuances could be the key to deciding which device aligns best with your preferences. Let’s dive into an in-depth video comparison that doesn’t just scratch the surface but delves into the core of what makes each phone unique.

Budget often plays a pivotal role in decision-making, and here, the iPhone 15 Pro Max slightly edges out with a lower price tag by approximately £50 or $100, despite offering an identical storage capacity of 256GB for the base models. Samsung, on the other hand, tends to sweeten the deal with attractive bundles and promotions that might tip the scale in its favor in terms of overall value. Additionally, iPhones are renowned for their resale value, potentially offering a better long-term investment

When it comes to design, both smartphones exude elegance and are built to impress with their premium quality. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is surprisingly lighter, a feat achieved despite its robust titanium frame. Both devices proudly meet the IP68 standard for water and dust resistance, and they welcome the future with their USB-C ports and superior stereo speakers. The Galaxy S24 Ultra stands out with its slightly larger display and a palette of unique colors, including some exclusive to online shoppers.

Both the Galaxy S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max have trimmed down their bezels for a more immersive viewing experience. Their large, luminous screens boast dynamic refresh rates that soar up to 120Hz, ensuring fluid visuals whether you’re scrolling through content or diving into the latest gaming titles. The S24 Ultra takes a slight lead in daylight legibility, thanks to its less reflective Gorilla Glass. Meanwhile, Apple’s Dynamic Island offers a novel way to interact with notifications and system alerts.

Under the hood, both phones are powerhouses, equipped with industry-leading processors—the A17 Pro chip in the iPhone and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the Galaxy. This hardware enables buttery smooth performance across the board, with the choice between the two boiling down to a matter of ecosystem preference. Whether you’re an iOS devotee or an Android aficionado, each platform has its merits, especially in app optimization and gaming experiences.

In terms of staying power, both smartphones are on par, offering around 10-11 hours of screen time on a single charge. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, however, charges at a brisker pace and even supports reverse wireless charging—a handy feature for powering up your other gadgets on the go.

For photography enthusiasts, the camera might be the deciding factor. The iPhone 15 Pro Max has upped its game with a 5x optical zoom and the capability to record ProRes video in log format, appealing to professional videographers. Samsung isn’t left behind, with its 200MP main sensor and enhanced zoom functionalities, providing unparalleled versatility for both photos and videos.

Samsung introduces cutting-edge AI features with the S24 Ultra, such as transcription assist, live translations, and AI-enhanced photography tricks like instant slow-mo and object removal. It’s worth noting that these innovations are also expected to trickle down to previous models, like the S23 series, broadening their appeal.

Navigating the choice between the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro Max ultimately boils down to personal preference. Whether it’s the allure of Android’s customization and Samsung’s AI advancements or the seamless integration and robust ecosystem of iOS, both smartphones stand at the pinnacle of technology, ready to deliver an unparalleled user experience.

OnePlus 12 vs iPhone 15 Pro Max

OnePlus 12.

The new OnePlus 12 smartphone launched globally earlier this week, we have already seen a review video of the handset and now we have another video, this one is from Max Tech and it compares the new OnePlus 12 with the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

This comparison of the two handsets focuses on design, display, performance, and camera capabilities, offering tech enthusiasts a detailed look at what these two devices have in store.

If you’re wondering how the two giants stack up in design, the OnePlus 12 introduces a refreshing green hue, complemented by a textured surface and a notable camera bump encircled by a distinct ring. This design is not just about aesthetics; it’s about ergonomics too. With a slimmer and taller frame than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the OnePlus 12 boasts curved edges for a more comfortable grip, compared to the slightly curved flat sides of its Apple counterpart.

The OnePlus 12 shines with its 1440p display, boasting a pixel density of 510 PPI, surpassing the iPhone’s 460 PPI. While OnePlus claims a staggering 4500 nits peak brightness, real-life tests suggest the iPhone outperforms in both manual and HDR brightness settings. This contrast in display performance is crucial for users who prioritize screen quality.

When it comes to raw performance, the OnePlus 12, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, excels, particularly in graphic-intensive tasks. However, you will be pleased to know that the iPhone maintains better thermal stability during prolonged use, which is a significant consideration for power users.

The camera showdown is intriguing. While the OnePlus 12 leads in megapixel count, the iPhone often steals the show in real-life photo quality, especially in portrait mode, HDR, and texture detail. However, the OnePlus has an edge in ultra-wide and periscope shots, thanks to its higher megapixel cameras.

For those who miss the physical mute toggle on iPhones, the OnePlus 12 will be a pleasant surprise, as it retains this handy feature. Charging capabilities also set these phones apart. The OnePlus 12 zooms ahead with its 80W wired and 50W wireless charging options, leaving the iPhone’s 15W limit far behind. Both phones, however, have embraced the USB-C port, marking a new era in connectivity.

The OnePlus 12 and iPhone 15 Pro Max each have their strengths and weaknesses. The OnePlus excels in areas like performance and charging speed, but falls short in display brightness and some camera aspects compared to the iPhone. At its price point, the OnePlus 12 presents an excellent value proposition, but it doesn’t entirely overshadow the iPhone 15 Pro Max in all categories.

iPhone 15 Pro Max vs Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (Video)

iPhone 15 Pro max

The new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone launched last week and now we get to find out how the handset compares to Apple’s flagship iPhone, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, we have a new video from Sakitech that compares the two devices side-by-side. If you’re curious about how the iPhone 15 Pro Max stacks up against the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, you’re in for a treat. This comparison is based on a detailed video analysis of both devices, examining everything from their design to their performance, to help you decide which might be the right fit for your needs.

Build and Design: Aesthetics and Durability Combined

Let’s dive into the physical aspects first. Both these giants boast a premium build quality, with the Galaxy S24 Ultra featuring Gorilla Glass Armor and the iPhone 15 Pro Max sporting a Ceramic Shield – both framed with sturdy titanium edges. Samsung’s approach leans towards a more futuristic design with a notably smaller camera cutout, whereas the iPhone opts for a larger, pill-shaped cutout. A common ground here is their IP68 water-resistant certification and high-quality stereo speakers, promising durability and an immersive audio experience.

Performance and Storage: The Engine Under the Hood

Performance-wise, these phones are powerhouses. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor, 12GB RAM, and offers up to 1TB of storage. The iPhone 15 Pro Max, on the other hand, runs on the A17 Pro processor, comes with 8GB RAM, and also maxes out at 1TB storage. While the iPhone leads in CPU performance, Samsung takes the cake in hard drive speed and graphical prowess.

Display: More Than Just Pixels

When it comes to the display, Samsung boasts a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3120×1440, surpassing the iPhone’s 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display which offers 2796×1290 resolution. Both devices support a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10, ensuring fluid motion and vibrant colors. However, Samsung edges out with a brighter and less reflective display, offering superior clarity in daylight.

Software Experience: Customization vs Consistency

If you’re wondering how the software stacks up, Samsung offers a more customizable experience with unique features like AI-generated wallpapers and the S Pen’s functionalities. The iPhone, however, provides a smoother and more consistent user experience, backed by a robust app ecosystem.

Camera: Capturing Moments in Detail

In the camera department, Samsung features a quad-camera system with a 200MP main sensor, compared to the iPhone’s triple-camera setup with a 48MP main sensor. Both smartphones deliver outstanding photo and video quality. Samsung shines with its zoom capabilities and daylight clarity, while the iPhone excels in low-light conditions.

Battery and Charging: Powering Your Day

Both the Galaxy S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max offer a battery life that can easily last a full day. However, Samsung steps ahead with faster charging and the convenience of reverse wireless charging, whereas the iPhone includes the MagSafe wireless charging feature.

Biometrics and Security: Fast and Secure Access

For security, Samsung uses an in-display fingerprint sensor, and the iPhone relies on Face ID. Both methods are not only quick but also highly secure, ensuring your data stays protected.

Choosing the Right Smartphone for You

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra emerges as a feature-rich option, with a superior display and additional functionalities like the S Pen and AI features. It’s slightly more expensive but offers considerable value for its price. The iPhone 15 Pro Max, while excelling in CPU performance and user-friendliness, stands out for those seeking a more streamlined and consistent smartphone experience.

Selecting between these two might come down to personal preference in design, specific feature sets, and brand loyalty. Remember, both are exceptional choices in their own right, each catering to different user needs and preferences.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra vs iPhone 15 Pro Max (Video)

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

If you’re in the market for a new smartphone and photography is high on your list of priorities, you’re likely considering the latest offerings from Samsung and Apple. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are currently the buzzwords in the world of mobile photography. The video below from SuperSaf delves into a detailed comparison of the two handsets’ camera capabilities to help you make an informed choice.

1. Primary Camera Performance

You’ll be pleased to know that in optimal lighting, both the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro Max offer stunning detail and dynamic range. However, the iPhone 15 Pro Max takes a slight lead with its better dynamic range in certain scenarios. Shooting at 24 megapixels by default, the iPhone captures finer details. The S24 Ultra, capable of shooting up to an impressive 200 megapixels, showcases superior detail in well-lit environments.

2. Low Light Photography

Here’s where the iPhone 15 Pro Max really shines. It generally outperforms the S24 Ultra in low light conditions, balancing tricky lighting more effectively. The S24 Ultra, while robust, struggles in indoor low-light settings and is slower in capturing shots.

3. Ultra-Wide Camera

Both phones are neck and neck in their ultra-wide camera performance. The software improvements in Apple’s device have resulted in better dynamic range and detail retention.

4. Macro Photography

For those who love close-up shots, both phones support macro photography with autofocus. Interestingly, the S24 Ultra tends to deliver more aesthetically pleasing macro shots.

5. Zoom Capabilities

Zooming in, the S24 Ultra boasts a 3x and a 5x periscope telephoto camera, compared to the iPhone’s 5x telephoto camera. The S24 Ultra excels in good light, especially at higher zoom levels (up to 100x), while the iPhone 15 Pro Max performs better in low light conditions at zoom.

6. Portrait Mode

Both smartphones excel in edge detection and color reproduction in portrait mode. The iPhone offers higher resolution portraits at 1x due to its 24-megapixel sensor, whereas the S24 Ultra provides sharper images at 3x zoom.

7. Selfie Camera

Taking selfies? Both phones do a fantastic job, with minor differences in skin tone reproduction. The iPhone 15 Pro Max tends to have better dynamic range but can introduce noise in low-light conditions.

8. Video Capabilities

When it comes to video, the performance is close, but the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a slight edge in dynamic range and color accuracy. The S24 Ultra has made significant improvements, offering competitive video quality. Unique to the iPhone is its cinematic mode with adjustable focus post-capture. In low light video shooting, the iPhone again performs slightly better.

9. Additional Features

The S24 Ultra includes innovative AI features for post-processing, like removing reflections and repositioning subjects. Both phones boast various pro video features, but the iPhone takes the lead with its support for ProRes video with log.

10. Audio Quality

Both models record high-quality audio. However, the S24 Ultra shows a better noise cancellation capability in noisy environments.

Summary

In this camera showdown, both the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro Max have proven their mettle, each excelling in different aspects. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is a formidable contender in low light and video, while the S24 Ultra impresses with its superior zoom capabilities and advanced AI features. As a consumer, your choice will depend on what aspects of smartphone photography are most important to you. If you are wondering how each of these features will impact your daily use, consider your primary use cases. Are you an avid photographer, a casual shooter, or a videography enthusiast? Your answer to these questions will guide your choice.

Understanding the strengths of each device is key to making a decision that aligns with your photography or videography needs. Whether you value intricate detail, advanced zoom, or superior low-light performance, both the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the iPhone 15 Pro Max offer compelling reasons to be your next smartphone companion.

Mad Max Furiosa film

The “Mad Max” film series, created by George Miller, is known for its post-apocalyptic setting and action-packed narrative. The films are not strictly linear in their storytelling, but they can be ordered based on the narrative flow and the progression of the main character, Max Rockatansky. Here’s the list in story order:

  1. “Mad Max” (1979): This is the first film in the series, introducing Max Rockatansky, a police officer in a dystopian Australia where law and order are breaking down.
  2. “Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior” (1981): The sequel, set in a more desolate and anarchic post-apocalyptic landscape, follows Max as he helps a group of settlers defend themselves against a gang of marauders.
  3. “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome” (1985): The third film presents a somewhat different setting, with Max becoming involved in the conflicts of a desert town called Bartertown.
  4. “Mad Max: Fury Road” (2015): Although released much later and featuring a different actor (Tom Hardy) as Max, this film is generally considered to follow the events of the previous films. It focuses on Max’s alliance with Furiosa, a warrior attempting to liberate a group of women from a tyrannical warlord.

The creative team behind this cinematic experience is nothing short of extraordinary. George Miller, alongside Doug Mitchell, spearheads the production, ensuring that the legacy of Mad Max continues to shine. The screenplay, a collaborative effort between Miller and Nico Lathouris, is intricately woven to captivate viewers with its complex and engaging storyline.

The award-winning crew that contributed to the success of “Mad Max: Fury Road” reunites for “Furiosa.” This includes the talents of production designer Colin Gibson, editor Margaret Sixel, and costume designer Jenny Beavan, all of whom are set to bring their exceptional skills to the forefront once again.

In terms of visual and auditory storytelling, “Furiosa” is poised to be a masterpiece. Director of photography Simon Duggan will capture the stark beauty of the film’s setting, while composer Tom Holkenborg, also known as Junkie XL, is slated to provide an electrifying soundtrack. Moreover, visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson will ensure that the film’s effects are nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Furiosa promises to be a significant chapter in the Mad Max narrative. With a stellar cast, a team of seasoned professionals, and a deep exploration into the life of one of the franchise’s most compelling characters, this film is poised to be an unforgettable experience for both die-hard fans and newcomers alike. Get ready to embark on another intense journey through the stark and visceral world that is George Miller’s post-apocalyptic vision.

Fake iPhone 15 Pro Max shown off on video

Fake iPhone 15 Pro Max

Every year when. Apple releases their new iPhones we also get to see various fake iPhones and now we can have a look at a new fake iPhone 15 Pro Max. The video below from Phone Repair Guru gives us a look at one of the latest fake iPhones that have been released.

This insightful comparison between the authentic and fake versions of this sought-after device reveals startling similarities and notable differences, guiding consumers in identifying potential frauds.

Firstly, let’s delve into the physical appearance and packaging of these devices. The counterfeit iPhone arrives in a box strikingly similar to the original, with subtle differences in font and print quality. However, a closer inspection under a blacklight unveils the absence of an Apple logo on the fake box, a crucial clue in discerning its authenticity. When it comes to the design, the fake iPhone astoundingly mimics the genuine one, boasting curved edges and a comparable finish. This level of detail in replication is both impressive and alarming.

Moving onto the hardware and features, the counterfeit iPhone does not shy away from ambition. It sports a USB-C port, mirroring the genuine iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, it falls short in several aspects: it lacks both wireless and MagSafe charging capabilities. The screen quality is fairly decent, yet the larger chin and subpar front camera quality are dead giveaways. Additionally, the device tries to mimic iOS 17 and even includes a functional action button, albeit with less finesse.

The performance and functionality of the fake iPhone are where the differences become more pronounced. The camera quality is notably inferior, displaying inaccurate colors and a grainy texture. The device also displays false iPhone 15 Pro Max stats and includes a non-functional warranty option. Interestingly, it features a back tap option, but it operates inefficiently.

This analysis shows that while the counterfeit iPhone 15 Pro Max mirrors the real one in several ways, critical disparities in features, functionality, and build quality are unmistakable. These insights are pivotal in raising awareness about the risks of encountering such counterfeit products. If you are wondering how to stay vigilant, remember to pay attention to subtle details in packaging, hardware features, and performance.

iPhone 15 Pro Max Charging Test (Video)

iPhone 15 Pro Max

Apple offers a range of different chargers for their iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphones, these include 20W and 30W chargers. Other companies offer faster chargers for the iPhone, but do these faster chargers make any major differences in charging speeds?

The video below from iDeviceHelp tests the iPhone 15 Pro Max with different chargers, one is a 30W charger and the other is a 30W charger, both of the chargers used in the video are from iPhone accessory maker UGreen.

The test began with both iPhones at 0% battery, ensuring a fair and accurate test. The charging process was monitored in 10-minute increments. In the initial 10 minutes, a small difference emerged. The iPhone charged with the 30W charger reached 19% battery, while its counterpart with the 65W charger achieved a slightly higher 20%. This early stage highlighted the efficiency of both chargers in rapidly powering the device.

After 20 minutes of charging on the iPhone 15 pro Max, the gap remained narrow. The 30W charger impressively achieved a 37% battery charge, closely followed by the 65W charger at 39%. These results underscored the effectiveness of both chargers in delivering quick power boosts in short periods.

After one hour, both chargers impressively charged the iPhones to 84%, showcasing the diminishing returns of higher wattage in the later stages of charging. The test concluded that the difference in charging speeds between the 30W and 65W chargers for the iPhone 15 Pro Max is minimal. However, the 65W charger’s additional ports offer increased versatility for charging multiple devices simultaneously. This feature might be a decisive factor for users who value the convenience of charging several gadgets at once.

iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max Battery Test (Video)

iPhone 15 Pro

Apple has four models in this year’s iPhone range, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus and the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. We have already seen various battery tests against other manufacturers and now we have another battery test.

The video below from Phone Buff tests all four models of the iPhone 15 side by side for battery life, lets find out how the four models in this years iPhone range compare on battery life.

The iPhone 15 series was put through a phone call test, simulating a 1-hour call. Remarkably, only the standard iPhone 15 showed a slight battery drop to 98%, while the Pro, Plus, and Pro Max models impressively maintained 100% battery life.

The email test, focusing on screen power consumption, highlighted the advantages of the Pro models’ lower refresh rate capabilities (down to 10 Hz), demonstrating their efficiency in power usage during screen-on tasks.

In a YouTube playback scenario, the Pro models, despite their advanced features and lower refresh rate capabilities, did not significantly outperform the standard models, an unexpected outcome.

Finally, in an app cycle test, the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max and 15 Plus models impressed with their endurance, with the Pro Max model outlasting the 15 Plus. Overall, the battery test of the iPhone 15 series reveals a mixed bag of results. Generally, the larger models outperform the smaller ones, with notable exceptions. The iPhone 15 Pro, in particular, underperformed in several tests, an issue that may be addressed in future software updates. These findings are crucial for consumers looking to make informed decisions about which model best suits their needs.
