Conroe ISD SSO is committed to providing students with an exceptional education. We offer an outstanding academic program, robust extracurricular activities, cutting-edge Career and Technical Education classes and an impressive variety of fine arts classes for our students.
Our educators are highly qualified professionals with an unwavering dedication to their profession. To support them in doing their jobs effectively, Novice teachers have access to a comprehensive professional learning path including PBIS: Effective Classroom and Behavior Management as well as twelve hours of content pedagogy training.

Our Vision
Conroe ISD seeks to build an engaging learning community focused on helping all its students graduate with confidence and competence. To do so, CISD must uphold stringent performance standards while employing quality practices in instruction, operations and leadership.
Conroe Independent School District was established in 1892 and covers 348 square miles, covering The Woodlands, Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, Conroe, Grangerland as well as several smaller towns, communities and unincorporated areas of Montgomery County. Conroe ISD boasts an engaging academic curriculum as well as cutting edge Career and Technical Education classes and a robust fine arts program to enable its students to explore their individual strengths and interests.
CISD also offers health services for its students, including vision and hearing screenings, spinal screening (fourth grade), and pediculosis screening in 5th and 7th grades for girls, and 8th grade screening for boys. Our Goals
Conroe ISD is dedicated to producing exceptional outcomes for students. This can only be accomplished by upholding rigorous academic standards, effective leadership, efficient operations and financial management, and by recruiting highly qualified teachers and staff.
CISD employees are passionate about providing students with a strong educational foundation, and take great pride in the District’s accomplishments, including high test scores, outstanding student achievement and an array of academic programs. In addition, there are numerous extracurricular offerings such as band, cheerleading, dance/drill team practice sessions, JROTC membership training opportunities and theatre arts instruction provided through CISD.
Employees at Conroe ISD are encouraged to play a central role in decision-making at both campus and District levels by serving on advisory committees. Furthermore, throughout the school year the Communications Department publishes newsletters, brochures, fliers calendars and news releases regarding district activities and achievements for employees as well as community members alike. Conroe ISD provides an orderly process for hearing and addressing employee concerns – any employee can discuss concerns at any time with either their supervisor or an appropriate administrator.
Our Focus
Conroe ISD students enjoy an idyllic setting between Sam Houston National Forest and Lake Conroe, providing many opportunities for educational excellence. Students regularly earn national and state accolades in academics, athletics, agriculture, health science, career & technology programs as well as fine arts programs – not to mention Navy Junior ROTC membership!
